Appearance

Marco is a tall, thin but muscular blond man with a rather sleepy look and a small stubble around his chin. On his chest is a tattoo of a cross and a crescent-shaped mustache, a symbol that resembles the silhouette of Whitebeard's Jolly Roger. After the timeskip, while working as a doctor in Whitebeard's home village, Marco began wearing a light button-up shirt and a pair of glasses.

Personality

Marco is generally calm and level-headed in the face of danger and challenges. He only showed his emotions when Squard stabbed Whitebeard in the chest and when Whitebeard and Ace were killed. He can also quickly sense the presence of a powerful force. As one of the original Whitebeard Pirates and having been on their ship for over thirty years, Marco has great authority among the crew. Marco has vast experience in the brutal New World. After the deaths of Whitebeard and Ace, Marco assumed the title of captain, highlighting his level of intelligence and leadership skills. Marco seems to like to act playful during battles, but can quickly become serious. Marco seems to appreciate young and promising people, even if they are people he has never met before. Like many other characters, Marco has his own style of speaking. At the end of his sentences, he inserts the word "Yoi".
