Sayori is portrayed as a talkative person, being very bubbly, kind, and the archetype of a Genki Girl. She is very clumsy and notorious for finding ways to accidentally hurt herself or drop things. She is often the only character other than the protagonist capable of dissolving arguments and is described as being instrumental in maintaining a relaxing atmosphere in the Literature Club. Sayori does her best to help everyone be happy and dislikes having attention directed at her well-being, as she feels unworthy of anything others can offer her.

Yuri

Throughout her route, she can be seen wearing a beige turtleneck sweater with black leggings. Yuri is the tallest girl in the game, standing at 1.65 meters tall according to what Dan Salvato said. She is also the most physically developed, adding to her more mature and insecure appearance.

Yuri is shown throughout most of the game to be a shy, generous, polite, passionate about the things she likes, very intelligent, mature, eloquent, and a lover of reading. Yuri is the "Shrinking Violet", a term used to describe a character who prefers to blend into the scenery rather than attract unwanted attention. This can be seen by her constant apologies and shyness to discuss what interests her, such as literature, horror, and surrealism in general. When it comes to debating, Yuri expresses her arguments in a mature and expert manner, despite her obvious shyness. Yuri prefers poetry containing metaphorical symbolism and enjoys collecting unusual ornamental knives with which she cuts herself, not for depressive reasons, but because it makes her feel excited. It is said that Yuri used to be bullied for her appearance and habits, giving another possible explanation for why she secludes herself. Natsuki wears the traditional school uniform like the other characters for most of the game.

personality

Natsuki is seemingly a brash, direct and arrogant girl, but internally kind and sweet, as a result of her insecurity. She is based on the anime archetype of a tsundere. However, despite being impulsive and speaking without thinking, Natsuki genuinely cares about her friends and even when she has anger issues, she doesn't enjoy getting into fights or arguments with people. Over the course of the game, we see that she cares about Yuri and even hands a "poem" to the protagonist, asking him to help Yuri as she fears that if he talks to her, it will lead to more arguments. She also possesses a love for manga, particularly those whose genre is slice of life and baking cupcakes. She keeps her manga collection in the Literature Club out of embarrassment and although the rest of the club obviously knows of her interest, they are still hesitant to talk about it. Natsuki also likes cute things, such as cupcakes with cat faces on them. She also likes poems with cute and happy words, although her own poems are about sad things, such as being persecuted for her hobbies. Her simplistic writing style always puts her at odds with Yuri. Natsuki does not like being called "cute", even when she acts like one or does cute things, she will deny any claims from others in relation to this. However, she feels much more comfortable exposing her sweet side once she knows people are not going to make fun of her about it. Natsuki hates not being taken seriously, whether it be for her writing, her hobbies, or just her overall behavior. Natsuki likely learned to be ashamed of herself and her hobbies from her judgmental classmates and implied abusive father, making her aggressive nature a defense mechanism.

Monika

She also has two long strands of hair on the sides of her face. She wears the typical school uniform, which consists of a grey jacket, a white shirt, a brown sweater, and a red bow on the collar of the shirt. She also wears a dark blue skirt, long black stockings, which contrast with the shorter white stockings of the other girls, and white and pink uwabaki shoes.

personality

Monika is regarded by others as a smart, beautiful, confident and athletic girl. She doesn't talk as much as the other girls but it is implied that this is not by choice, but rather because of her role in the game. Monika was previously part of the Debate Club but left it due to its politics and drama, noting her desire for order, freedom of choice in topics, and friendly relationships. The Literature Club, which she created after leaving the Debate Club, is very important to Monika. She aspires for it to be a place to showcase and help grow others' passion for literature. Monika openly shows that she cares for her fellow club members, complimenting their writing styles and even comparing them to famous writers and poets.
