Reo Mikage

Reo is the heir to the Mikage Corporation, with total assets valued at about 705.8 billion yen or 5.3 billion USD. Before entering Blue Lock , he was a student at an elite high school, where he met his first long-time friend, Seishiro Nagi , who took up soccer shortly after him due to Nagi's natural talent in the sport and Reo's eagerness to go further in soccer. Being a young man who has almost everything at his fingertips thanks to his father being the head of the Mikage Corporation, his only wish is to win the Soccer World Cup. When he first arrived at Blue Lock, Reo was a member of Team V and arguably the second best player in his stratum. He played as a center back for the Blue Lock Eleven team against the Japan U-20 national team.

Reo is a tall, thin young man. He has chin-length purple hair with two asymmetrical locks framing his face. He has large, bright purple eyes. In Blue Lock, Reo wears the standard body suit (black with blue stripes) and tracksuit. During the First Selection, he wore the blue number 9 jersey of Team V and the grey capped cleats of Team V. During the Second Selection, he wore the number 10 jersey of Team Red, which he later changed to white. During the Third Selection, he wore the white and blue number 10 jersey of Team C. During the match against Japan U-20, Reo dons an official blue Blue Lock player uniform with the number 14 on it, though, varying from wearing comfortable, loose-fitting clothing.

Reo is very charismatic, friendly, witty, and ambitious. He has shown to be quite outgoing and was quite popular in high school, to the point of having dozens of admirers. Being an all-rounder, he excels in academics, sports, and interpersonal skills. Due to his excellent preparation as the heir to a multi-million dollar company, Reo also exhibits business skills which he uses for his own purposes. Such as putting together his own soccer team at school in a matter of days by promising that they could meet cute idols or starting a food trading market at the Blue Lock cafeteria to increase his teammates' unity and gain their trust. Intelligence is a very notable trait of his, as he was not only the top student in his class, but also took on the role of Team V's strategist and could improvise new plans on the spot when faced with stronger opponents. Reo can be a bit self-centered, as he tends to put his own goals above everything else, which resulted in him convincing Nagi, who initially had no interest in soccer, to play with him. Though he welcomes new challenges and experiences, he becomes deeply angry when things don't go his way, perhaps due to his wealthy upbringing. Overall, he seems to feel every emotion full force and is extremely self-conscious of his own flaws and shortcomings, which is evident in several instances of painful breakdowns shown in the spin-off manga. Due to his high emotionality, he can even become violent when he loses his temper, as seen when he elbows Jingo Raichi after some teasing. Overall, Reo is a friendly and intelligent young man who knows what he wants out of life and will pursue it until he is satisfied.

Despite having a very fortunate life, he found everything boring because of how easy it was to get what he wanted. So he decided to forge a path where he would have to fight for what he wanted and prove his existence. He found satisfaction in playing soccer to obtain the coveted World Cup and he would do everything possible to win, such as paying and taking care of a natural soccer prodigy like Nagi to get further in soccer. At the end of the First Selection, Reo was confident that his team would win yet another match, but when Team Z began to close out the game and score against Team V, Reo became overly aggressive and frustrated at a situation he didn't understand, even going so far as to foul someone. Reo was noticeably speechless when Team Z ended up winning the game and when Nagi decided to join Isagi's White Team at the start of the Second Selection. He stubbornly refused to accept that the prodigy, Nagi, his best friend for months and someone Reo considered "his treasure", chose to play with someone else instead of him. He spent the second half of the Second Selection focused on "getting" Nagi back, only to lose the match deciding who would choose a player from the other team, almost losing Nagi as a friend as a result. After Reo survives the hardships of the Second Selection, he lets go of his stubbornness and realizes his weakness, vowing to become stronger in order to stay close to the people he cares about and move forward in his goal of winning the World Cup. After finally letting go of his possessive attachment towards Nagi and finally realizing what he needs to do to be strong and stay with his friend, Reo vowed to become the world's greatest striker who can dominate the field without needing anyone's help, alongside Blue Lock's best players.

Reo takes his football career very seriously, as he uses all available resources to study and perfect his game as much as possible. He is careful and observant, analyzing the strengths and weaknesses of each player and displays a very broad and tactical mind. Prefers bamboo shoots to mushrooms. The first person Reo confessed to was his elementary school teacher. Maybe it was because of his money, or so he thinks. He is attracted to older, more mature women, such as Hisako Manda. He impulsively buys business books and lunch boxes at the convenience store. His favorite food is ichibo steak. His least favorite food is dried, sliced sweet potatoes. His favorite soccer player is Cristiano Ronaldo. She received 48 Valentine's Day gifts. Their motto is "Get whatever you want." If I received 100 million yen, I would invest it in the stock market. His favorite mangas are Kaiji and Ushijima the Pawnbroker. His morning routine consists of being woken up by Ba-ya (his personal assistant), breakfast (eggs Benedict with an enzyme shake), a morning sauna, reviewing the day's financial news, and riding to school in his limo with a morning glass of non-alcoholic champagne. [ 15 ] When Reo asked her what she did for luck before a match, she said, "Get me a new headband (so I can look forward instead of back)."
