Physical appearance

Maya has dark brown skin, wears a black shirt, a purple and white jacket, long black pants, brown and white shoes, and wears a ponytail like when Maya was 12 years old.

Personality

Maya is shown to be a cold-hearted, expressionless, and submissive person who serves the King. She is also agile and strong, able to easily crush Kelsey's sword in "The Other Side." As the King's bodyguard, she tends to be strict and expects everyone to obey the King's rules. Maya tends to remember certain details from her first encounter with people. For example, when she first met Kelsey, she had her hair down. When the two met again, she didn't remember Kelsey until she let her hair down. Despite this, in "The Other Side: The Tournament" she claims that she never forgets a face. In "The Rise and Fall of Poncho Verde", it is shown that she was once one of Poncho Verde's best friends, and it is possible that she still has some feelings for him.

King Xiaver

King Xavier It is shown many times that Maya's relationship with the King seems quite toxic as he threatens to not be her friend, or her only friend, as shown in Capture the Flag Part 3: The Legend and Capture the Flag Part 4: The Plan. Also, Xavier relies on Maya for protection as a best friend (in his case) is someone who can protect their king. For example, in The Other Side, Xavier called Maya to come protect him from having his map stolen from Craig, which then leads to Kelsey and Maya's fight. In Season 4, Maya acknowledged that she was in a toxic relationship with Xavier and how much she regrets it.

Kelsey

Kelsey first confronted Maya in "The Other Side" when she and JP helped Craig retrieve his map from King Xavier and the Honeysuckle Rangers who stole it from him. Despite Kelsey's aggressive style, Maya easily overpowered her and snapped her sword in half. Maya later recognized Kelsey through her disguise during "The Other Side: The Tournament" when Kelsey's hair falls out and she notices the sword she was carrying after Kelsey and JP beat Aggie, the Acorn Knight champion, and her steed. Maya is about to cross the overpass to win the Capture the Flag game until Kelsey arrives. Despite another enthusiastic effort from Kelsey, Maya overpowers Kelsey again, savagely beating her in their duel until the two Green Ponchos come to Kelsey's aid and launch her towards Maya from a giant archway, effectively giving Kelsey's first "victory" over Maya.

Omar

Omar She and Omar were best friends before she eventually betrayed him to become Xavier's best friend. She tries to convince him to return to the King's side but Omar refuses many times. After a while, they grew apart, though she can still feel regret for leaving him and hopes to get back together with him again, but after the Capture the Flag game, she couldn't talk to him after what he did so she left and left her cape behind.
