Nobara is of average height and has a slender figure. She has medium-length brown hair that reaches her neck, with bangs covering the right side of her forehead. Nobara has brown eyes, long eyelashes, and thin eyebrows of the same color. Nobara's school uniform consists of a dark blue gakuran-style top (buttoned jacket) and a long matching skirt that reaches just above her knees. She also wears black stockings and brown shoes, as well as her signature brown belt, which holds her tools for her techniques. As someone who loves to dress up, Nobara wears several different outfits. Before entering school, she did not have a tracksuit, and she bought one shortly after. The tracksuit included a white and blue hoodie decorated with a flower pattern, black leggings, and white shoes.

Nobara is a confident and sassy young woman with an unwavering personality. More than anything, Nobara is determined to stay true to herself no matter what. She takes great pride in being both a beautiful girl and a strong fighter, refusing to let anyone influence her. Nobara can seem like a very unpleasant and arrogant person at first. She initially introduced herself to Yuji and Megumi by stating that they were inferior, and argued with Yuji for most of their first mission together. Despite her rude attitude, Nobara is actually an incredibly caring and conscientious person, but would never let most people see that side of her. After fighting side by side on several missions, Yuji and Megumi became Nobara's closest allies. Even from a young age, Nobara was outspoken and different from everyone else in her small town. She believed that everyone around her was crazy, and was determined to leave the small countryside for the big city. Nobara was only attracted to outsiders who moved to the village, such as Fumi and Saori, especially the latter. She had great respect for Saori and was disappointed when she was forced to leave the village. Saori's departure made Nobara want to escape the village even more, and he dreamed of meeting Saori again one day. Before entering school, Nobara promised Fumi that the three of them would reunite in Tokyo.

True to form, Nobara is confident in her techniques. Whenever Yuji and Megumi start to get assertive, Nobara is willing to take the initiative, even if the boys don't like it. While they tend to panic in some situations, Nobara is able to remain relatively cool no matter what happens. Nobara likes to joke around in peaceful situations and doesn't mince words in combat situations, no matter who is doing it. Among all her peers, Nobara especially values Maki Zenin. She likes how Maki carries herself and admires her strength as someone who is fighting against her own family's oppression. Nobara and Yuji are two clowns among the first-year students who usually irritate Megumi. Although she likes to pretend that she doesn't like boys, Nobara was upset by Yuji's death after the incident at the Detention Center. She even shed tears over his return and demanded an apology from him. Momo Nishimiya insulted Yuji during the exchange event with Kyoto High School in an attempt to justify Mai Zenin's undesirable attitude, irritating Nobara. Nobara dislikes Mai, which upset Momo and caused her to give a monologue about gender discrimination in the Zenin family. This only angered Nobara, who did not care at all about any arguments based on "boys versus girls". Like Saori, Maki is a good person despite the circumstances that surround her, while Mai is not. Despite her dislike for madmen, Nobara has proven that she is no pushover. She passed Satoru's test with flying colors and did not hesitate to hurt herself during her battle with the Death Paintings, Eso and Kechizu. Nobara has a high sense of duty as a mage and is a proud fighter. During the Shibuya Incident, Nobara's pride was hurt by her defeat at the hands of Haruta Shigemo. After Kento Nanami saved Nobara, she wanted to help Satoru escape his captivity and atone for his guilt. However, Nanami did not allow her to do so and ordered her to wait until she was rescued. Nobara ignored Nanami's warning because she could not bring herself to leave the city while all of her allies were still fighting.

Large Amount of Cursed Energy: Nobara possesses large reserves of cursed energy and is an expert in manipulating it. Nobara's nails are constantly infused with her cursed energy, allowing her to levitate them for easy striking. She can even use a cursed technique to amplify the cursed energy surrounding them. She has done this on multiple occasions without showing any signs of depleting her cursed energy reserves. After releasing Black Lightning, Nobara's cursed energy and understanding increased greatly. Ever since Nobara touched the core of cursed energy, she has been trying to recreate that feeling in order to unlock her potential. Black Lightning: A technique available to any magus who has achieved it. It cannot be used at will, but the conditions for it to occur can be created. Its essence is that when a magus gathers and strikes with cursed energy in the 0.000001 second window before a physical strike, space is warped and the force at the moment of impact is increased by 2.5 times. Nobara first used Black Lightning on Kechise, causing the curse to reach its dying state.
