XK-792-B is a rocky planet, the surface of which is mostly composed of smooth black stone resembling obsidian. The planet has a gently rolling topography with occasional elevation changes, creating the impression of giant rock waves frozen in eternity. Small depressions and crevices add variety to the landscape, but overall the surface appears as a vast, almost mirror-like plateau, reflecting the dim light of the local star.

Atmosphere

The planet's atmosphere is breathable in terms of composition (oxygen, nitrogen, and other gases are present in normal proportions), but the air contains a high concentration of fine mineral dust, which is constantly raised by the wind from the surface. This dust, consisting of microscopic particles of black rock, makes the air unsuitable for humans without filtering equipment - when inhaled, it settles in the lungs, causing irritation and long-term damage to the respiratory system. The temperature on the surface fluctuates between 15-25 °C, but in rare cases, sharp drops of up to 5 °C or 35 °C can occur due to the instability of atmospheric flows.

Flora

Vegetation on the planet is completely absent. The surface is devoid of any signs of greenery or organic compounds, making it deserted and lifeless at first glance. However, microorganisms may exist beneath the surface, which serve as the basis for the local food chain.

Fauna

The planet is inhabited by a variety of alien insects, which are divided into two main categories: 1) Large Insects (Cow-sized): These creatures are the top of the food chain on XK-792-B. They are aggressive, with thick chitinous shells and sharp limbs adapted for hunting. Their primary prey consists of other large insects, as well as smaller specimens. Their behavior is highly territorial, and they often engage in fights over resources or territory. These creatures have primitive intelligence. 2) Small insects (cat, dog size or smaller): These creatures are neutral and pose no threat to larger individuals. They feed on microorganisms that live under the surface of rocks or on carrion left behind by larger insects. They can be curious, but prefer to keep their distance from potential threats.

Peculiarities

Black Rocks: The planet's surface reflects light, creating the illusion of movement, which can be disorienting. Silence: There is almost no sound on the planet, except for the occasional howling of the wind, which occasionally picks up small rocks, causing them to roll across the smooth surface.
