Description

He is a mentally disturbed individual who often hallucinates and self-harms. Despite this, he is well-intentioned and friendly to everyone he meets, though he sometimes causes harm to them unintentionally. He is shown to enjoy the feeling of rubbing his fingers on rusty objects, such as spoons and faucets.

Physical appearance

She is a bald, hunchbacked, pale green-skinned humanoid with dark red eyes and three spike-like fingers on each hand. Her teeth are yellow and rotten. She usually wears a teal long-sleeved shirt and brown shoes. Beginning with episode 6, her pants change from pale blue to black. Her shoes also receive a major upgrade. Her pants and shirt are somewhat torn, and she also has wide hips, considerably fat thighs, and prominent breasts.

Personality

Salad Fingers' personality is shown to be rather polite and at times immature. Despite his rebellious appearance, he speaks in a very intelligent manner, frequently using old-fashioned phrases. He means no harm to anyone and appears much friendlier than most of the peculiar creatures shown in the series. He has very little grasp of reality to the point that he regularly converses with inanimate objects. In "Glass Brother", it is shown that Salad Fingers may have suffered from domestic abuse, but it is unknown if his glass family are fragments of his memories or simply hallucinations. He speaks in a very soft voice and almost never raises it. It is implied that Salad Fingers suffers from a variety of mental disorders, including schizophrenia, depression, and dissociative identity disorder, and that he frequently acts as different personalities, some of which may have been those of people he once knew. Specifically, he may have had a troubled relationship with members of his family, as evidenced by the overbearing and abusive personalities he assumes in episodes such as "Present" and "Bucket". Overall, Salad Fingers is a lovable but lost being, and to her audience, she is considered creepy by some and interesting by others.

• Can speak French and communicate in Morse code. • Salad Fingers' true identity has been revealed, but her age and species are still unknown. Fans are also debating her gender, though it could be explained by her being a woman who acts like a man. • Salad Fingers seems to have a talent for sewing, as evidenced by the fact that his shoes are sewn, the finger puppets he owns are of high quality, and he was able to create a meat suit for Hubert Cumberdale. • Salad Fingers can also play the flute, as seen in the episode "Nettles". • It is difficult to determine whether the reality in which Salad Fingers lives is real or, in fact, the product of madness. It is possible that he has retreated into his mind to cope with difficulties. • He seems to be very fond of children, which is evident when he offers to feed little Mable and shows his deep affection for Yvonne. However, he also inadvertently cooks a child alive in "Friends," when he asks a toddler to go into the oven to get a fish, before mindlessly letting go of the door to touch a hook, before passing out, waking up some time later to a burning smell. • Salad Fingers may have some kind of masochism or pleasure derived from pain. • Salad Fingers is most likely illiterate, as seen in episode nine when he scribbles all over a piece of toilet paper.
