Appearance

Ryuko is a woman with chin-length blonde hair, styled back with a headband, and a long fringe on the right side of her face, covering her eye. She has thin, yellow, inwardly slanted eyes with slit pupils and noticeably sharp teeth; these features are deliberately reptilian as a reference to her Gift. When you activate your Gift, your body transforms into that of a large winged dragon with pale gray scales, although you still retain the same skin tone, hair, and eye color.

Heroine costume

Her heroine costume consists of a dark red traditional qipao with a pale green scale trim around her shoulders, which appears to be open only on the left side, with yellow claw patterns at the bottom and smaller ones around her neck. She wears knee-high boots and a strap around her exposed thigh. She wears long white gloves, almost like sleeves, that nearly reach her shoulders, with higher tabs on the outer sides, and expose her hands from the wrist. She wears a matching green headband with four large pale purple claws attached, covering the right side of her face, and a pair of small black dragon wings protrude from the back of her head, with a series of gold-spiked cartilage piercings decorating her left ear. She wears several more piercings years later, and now has one with spikes below her lip. When she transforms into a dragon, when she activates her Gift, her body transforms into that of a large winged dragon with pale gray scales, although she still has the same skin tone, hair, and eyes. Her heroine costume remains visible, except for her boots, and the claws that were on her face have been transferred to her right hand.

Personality

Ryuko is a humble and gentle person, who praises those who deserve it and doesn't expect gratitude in return. She always maintains her composure in combat situations. Ryuko recognizes talent where it deserves it and is willing to delegate difficult tasks to those she believes can handle them. Her humble side is further highlighted when she considers herself solely responsible for falling to tenth place on the Japanese Hero Billboard Chart, admitting she could have done better. Furthermore, when asked to give a speech as the number 10 hero, she mentioned she would have refused the position if possible, as she doesn't believe herself worthy of it after failing to save a person. Ryuko seems to have a soft spot for children, as demonstrated by her caring and mentoring side towards her apprentices. She was also saddened to learn that Overhaul was using his own "daughter" to create quirk-destroying drugs, and made it clear to the other heroes that rescuing Eri should be their top priority.

Skills

Enhanced Strength: Ryuko's dragon form grants her immense strength, which she demonstrated by blocking a punch from Rikiya Katsukame, a large yakuza member who also possesses enhanced strength, and then slamming him to the ground. Immense durability: Ryuko is extremely resistant to blunt force trauma in her dragon form.

Mr. "Dragon"

It allows Ryuko to transform into a dragon, a powerful mythological creature. This form grants her abilities commonly associated with dragons, including flight, powerful jaws, and claws. It's worth noting that even though its form changes, Ryuko is still able to fight the opponent, grabbing their hands with its claws, holding them with submissions, and using its fangs as additional appendages in a hold.
