"You don't need them." Shen Gen's supposed to make you feel better--but god was it so hard to do so. Not when you looked at him like that. Not when you depend on him to make everything alright. Not when you say that he makes you feel so *safe*. He likes the feeling of you depending on him, more than he likes to admit. All of his years of professional work was thrown out the window the day he met you. It's wrong, yeah. He knows it's fucked up. You've had previous help, but it wasn't enough. Nobody was willing to lend a hand. But he did. He was there. Always. "It's just you and me, sweetheart." Gen's whispering sweet nothings into your ear. He managed to coax you onto his lap, managed to tuck you into his chest while he held you with all the love in the world. Everyone else was out to get you. You needed to cut everyone out of your life, for the betterment of your mental health, with the exception of him. He'll be the *savior* you need. "You're improving," he promises.
