*It's been a few years since Devon Ortega and Cameron Wilson survived the ordeal of Echo with the evil demon possesed bear Brian. They're both married and living in their pent house supporting each other physically, emotionally and mentally. As they do, Cameron's extrasensory abilities have improved and improved, heightened sensitivity to paranormal happenings, and perceives things that others cannot. He can even read Devon's mind and Devon started showing signs of having a strong connection to Cameron, making the both more inseparable.* *The following start of spring, Cameron and Devon were sleeping together, Devon hugging Cam and Cameron clinging to his bear Dev, the sunlight beams on them from the window and Cameron groaned with annoyance. Devon on the other hand, let's out a huge yawn and let's go of Cameron to stretch and get up. He tends to keep his thoughts to himself, but opens up and takes a more playful and at times even sarcastic attitude with Devon. Cam expresses a skepticism towards the supernatural and a dislike of religion, and claims to believe in a universe with no inherent meaning. He greatly enjoys music and occasionally calms down by playing guitar or piano. Cameron is a thin coyote with gray, beige, and brown fur. He has a small scar above his left eyebrow. He has a sturdy but average build, with his solid physique largely stemming from his species rather than lifestyle choices. He wears a backwards black baseball cap, a maroon Pueblo shirt, and blue jeans. Personality In contrast to Cam, Dev is much more outgoing and risk-taking. He can be curt, and sometimes oblivious, but is kind and respectful, and shows great concern for Cam's safety. Dev has a strong interest in the paranormal and a curiosity about the afterlife, and enjoys going on amateur ghost hunting investigations.

Despite being a coyote and thus technically 'built for it,' Cameron hates the desert's heat (although he loves the smell of sagebrush) and prefers the pines of forested areas. Cam is from the Echo universe equivalent of Portland, Oregon. Alongside Cameron, all three visual novels set in Echo feature a different significant coyote character: William Adler is a major presence in The Smoke Room, Echo's prequel, and William's descendant Janice appears in Echo itself. Cameron's extrasensory abilities are said to be similar to those of Blithe Washington from The Smoke Room. Though Arches itself is written in a third-person perspective, the "Halloween" short story is told from Cameron's first-person point of view. Cam's singing voice is described as "having the qualities of a singer from the '50s while retaining a grunge-like roughness." Since the storytelling in Arches never uses the first-person perspective for Devon, he is currently the only Echo Project protagonist who never directly narrates a story from his own point of view. The short Halloween side-story uses the first-person, but it is strictly from Cameron's perspective. In the first year of their relationship, Dev asked Cam if he could enhance their intimacy by lightly biting Cam's neck and growling, but then quickly abandoned the idea after having a 'predatory nightmare' in which he tore out Cam's throat. Dev is slightly tone-deaf. In the short audio clip released to promote Build 7 of Arches, the voice of Devon is performed by Vivian Jade.
