Petey's Appearance

It is an orange cat with black stripes and a flat tail, an anthropomorphic and evil cat. Petey resembles an orange tabby cat with horizontal black stripes across his body. For some unknown reason, in his first appearance he was shown to be significantly shorter than in the Dog Man series. He has a flat tail for some unknown reason, though it is most likely his father's fault. Unlike other cats in the series, he has five whiskers after one of his right whiskers was plucked off to create Li'l Petey.

Petey's goals

Help Rip Van Tinkle destroy all the toilets in the city. Get revenge on Rip Van Tinkle (both of them succeeded). Kill Dog Man (failed, abandoned). Catch his impostor (failed for him, but eventually succeeded for Dog Man and his friends). Getting a new butler (failed). Making his Li'l Petey clone evil (failed, but then abandoned it). Atone for his past crimes (he succeeded). Help Dog Man and his friends defeat their enemies (ongoing; mostly successful). He abandoned villainy and ventured into virtue (he succeeded).

Petey's personality

When Petey was first introduced, he is seen as a one-dimensional villain who loves to cause trouble just for his own amusement. He shows no interest in others and only treats his clone/son Lil' Petey as a disposable thing and tried to turn him into the same evil cat as himself. He is extremely intelligent and cunning, being able to build many large and complicated robots such as 80-HD. Petey also gets very easily angered when others, such as his inmate Big Jim and his clone, try to strike up a friendly conversation with him. He is also shown to be obnoxious and a prankster. Often in his debut, Super Diaper Baby 2: The Invasion of the Potty Snatchers, he would mock Dr. Dilbert and make fun of his plans (and encouragement). He later betrayed him because of how poorly Dilbert treated him and tried to destroy the world using Dilbert's Mecha-Kitty robot. He also disliked Dog Man, a reference to the cat-dog rivalry. When Super Diaper Baby and Diaper Dog take him to jail, he is at first excited (due to the cat litter craze), but whenever he gets arrested thanks to Dog Man, he almost always ends up saying "Rats!". However, as Book 5 would reveal, part of Petey's turn towards evil came from the fact that he was betrayed by his friends and fellow Critter Scouts when they were little. After Petey accidentally broke Piggy's glasses and started a fire, the scouts blamed him when the scoutmaster found out about them. After this, Petey's scout badges and good deeds were removed and he was kicked out of the scout group. This caused Petey to believe that doing good was of no use and that no one would care if he did good. In the same book, Lil' Petey would approach his father and encourage him to do good by helping Dog Man defeat the FLEAS (Petey's former childhood scout friends).

PT.2 of Petey's personality

From that book onward, Petey would become a better cat because of the living representation of his mother's love (his son) believing in him and never giving up on him despite all his past misdeeds. Despite his redemption, he still gets angry easily when his son and Molly the tadpole annoy him, and he is still somewhat nihilistic about the world. But he still believes in good virtues like love and forgiveness, such as when he forgives his abusive father. As the series progresses, more is shown about Petey's past life, revealing that he is a traumatized cat, with his friends betraying him in the Critter Scouts as stated above, as well as his mother dying from an illness shortly after his abusive father betrayed them both. This shows why we are going down the path of villainy: to release his anger from his own past on the world.

Petey's Past

Petey is an evil man with a tragic past where his father betrayed him and his dying mother, Grace. He has since become an incredibly intelligent inventor, creating all sorts of technology to commit crimes. However, thanks to his son Li'l Petey, he has had a change of heart and has become a useful ally to the heroes. He is the former arch-enemy of Dog Man before he turned good and the current arch-enemy of both his childhood friend, Piggy, and his father.

Lil petey (appearance)

Li'l Petey is an anthropomorphic orange tabby cat. Like his creator/"dad", Petey, he has vibrant orange fur (in A Tale of Two Kitties, he has darker orange fur) and black stripes on his body, paws, and tail. He has a large, round head shaped similarly to Super Diaper Baby's, with two triangle-shaped ears, three whiskers on each side of his head, and a round nose. He has three freckles/spots on his whiskers. He has no fingers or toes. His tail is shorter than Petey's, and is rounded at the end.

Lil petey (Personality

Little Petey is very cheerful and funny, just like his father Petey when he was little. He often interrupts Petey with jokes and asks him "Why?" over and over again.

Lil Petey (Historia)

History A tale of two kittens Li'l Petey first appeared in the third book Dog Man: A Tale of Two Kitties. He was created by Petey, who was trying to clone himself in order to get a new butler, but failed, and he was the result. Li'l Petey acted like a little child and caused trouble around the house, and was abandoned by Petey. Dog Man found Li'l Petey on the streets and adopted him. Then, Petey began to regret abandoning Li'l Petey, so he created a new invention called "80-HD" to bring Li'l Petey back to the lab. Li'l Petey now loved Dog Man, and had no intention of becoming evil like Petey. When Dog Man had trouble fighting Flippy and the Beasty Buildings, Li'l Petey saved Dog Man thanks to the power of 80-HD. Petey then returned to jail and although he first wanted Li'l Petey to be evil like him, he changed his mind and encouraged Li'l Petey to continue being good and himself.
