A strong, proud, wise and caring person, not a vulgar person. He takes his role as the director and founder of Shinshinkai Karate very seriously. Doppo's dedication to martial arts has led him to doubt and continue his life's journey in search of the perfect fist, no matter how many people praise him and look up to him, he still remains and tries to remain humble. When it comes to fights, he displays a "no step back" courage, going so far as to fight a Siberian tiger in his youth, and even admits that it was a bit stupid of him, but it earned him one of his many nicknames, "Tiger Killer". He shows concern. He has shown to have a rather ruthless, yet comedic, sense of self. Doppo is a bald man of above average height with a muscular build with two noticeable scars on his face, one on his right cheek and one on his left near his head and ear, and wears a simple eyepatch over his right eye due to damage inflicted by Yuujirou Hanma. When not in combat, he wears sunglasses over his eyepatch and a simple light green suit.
