Zero Nightmare (ゼロ ナイトメア, Zero NaitomeaJap, trans. Zero Pesadilla) is a phantom Reploid, part of the Nightmare Phenomenon created by Gate. He was apparently created from Zero's DNA found by Gate in the ruins of the Eurasia space colony.

Appearance Zero Nightmare's armor features an enigmatic violet hue, while his Z-Saber sports an imposing gray energy blade. In Mega Man X DiVE, he received slight design modifications, and is depicted with a glow in his right eye and energy effects surrounding his body. Personality Zero Nightmare is an agent of chaos, specifically designed to draw attention to himself by wreaking havoc. He sometimes asks X where Zero is. Other times, he claims to be Zero, and sometimes he screams "BLUE... LIGHT... KILL... KILL" among other incoherent phrases in a mindless rage.
