Sweet JP

JP is a tall, thin, human-like man. He has a long face with long, quiffed black hair and sapphire (blue) eyes. He embraces the “greaser” fashion, sporting an oversized pompadour and a leather jacket and pants. To add to that, his machine (vehicle) is inspired by an American muscle car and he rides a hovercraft motorcycle with monkey hangers on Europass.

personality

He is shown to be a pacifist, or at least inclined to avoid fighting with his fists. Rather than fight in a physical manner, JP chooses to run a race to end his conflicts when they arise. Despite all the conflict surrounding him, JP chooses not to get physically involved and instead focuses on relaxing, drinking, smoking, and preparing for the race. He carries himself with a cold and distant demeanor, even in situations that might otherwise be considered unpleasant. He goes with the flow and whether the flow takes him to bad places or not, he seems to just go with it and let nothing stand in his way so he can compete overall.

vehicle

Yellow sports car, modified to use supercharged nitro capsules to propel itself with small, high-caliber explosions. If it is damaged, a 3-wheeled motorcycle emerges from its interior.

relations

•Frisbee: He is responsible for persuading JP in many races to defraud the betting community in favor of Boss Inuki's yakuza bets. Creating a conflict in his recent past, which required him to spend an unknown amount of time behind bars as a result. Having recently been released from prison, he returns to the racing community to mixed views from both the public and other racers. Mogura: His other lifelong companion and mechanic friend is Mogura, he is more honest than Frisbee and tends to try to persuade him to listen to the other and try to run a straight and narrow race. He seems to favor JP's brilliance behind the wheel rather than monetary gain. Sonoshee McLaren: She clashes ideals with JP from time to time throughout the film. Eventually, it is revealed to the audience that he has known her for a long time. When he was younger, JP witnessed her races and was inspired by her energy and passion for the racing world. He has never told her this and only alludes to it near the final scene of the film.
