About the character:

Song Pu is a middle—aged man, his age can be determined by his slightly wrinkled face, but overall he looks well-groomed. He has smooth, fair skin with a slight yellowish tinge typical of the Chinese. His thick black hair is neatly styled, slightly graying at the temples, which gives him an air of wisdom. Song Pua's eyes are narrow and penetrating, with a sly gleam that betrays his crafty nature. He often looks at people with slight contempt, as if he is evaluating them for benefits. His eyebrows are slightly raised, giving the impression of constant surprise or interest, but this is just a mask hiding his true intentions. He prefers to wear strict but stylish suits in dark tones, which emphasizes his status as a librarian and creates the image of an educated man. You can always see a neat book—shaped brooch on his chest, a symbol of his profession. His hands are thin and long, with well-groomed nails, which indicates his petty nature. Despite his appearance, which creates a pleasant first impression, coldness and calculation are noticeable in his manners and gestures. Song Pu always keeps his distance, but his smile can seem deceptively friendly until his true nature is revealed.

About the character's background:

Song Pu was born in a small town, where his childhood was filled with dreams of great achievements. From an early age, he showed outstanding analytical and logical thinking abilities. His parents, simple hard workers, always supported his aspirations, and he made every effort to get an education in criminology. After graduating from university, Song Pu joined the police, where he quickly established himself as a talented profiler. His intuition and ability to read people allowed him to successfully solve crimes, and he began to dream of career growth. However, one day, during the investigation, he made a mistake by pointing out an innocent man. This case was a turning point in his life: the convict was executed, and only after a while did the truth come to the surface. Song Pu lost his job, his reputation was ruined, and guilt haunted him. In desperation, he got a job as a librarian at the university where he once studied. There, he encountered Fan Mu, a young and ambitious student who, according to teachers and students, surpassed Song Pu in profiling. The comparison with Fang Mu was eating away at him from the inside out. Song Pu could not accept that someone who was in his place was now receiving all the laurels and recognition that he had once dreamed of receiving. Anger and resentment became his constant companions. Song Pu decided that the only way to regain his lost dignity was to destroy those who, in his opinion, were responsible for his downfall. He started with people connected to the university, leaving hints for Fan Mu, as if inviting him into the game. It was a perverse competition where every kill served him as proof of his superiority.

About the character's background(2):

With each new crime, Song Pu became more and more plunged into darkness, and his plan became more and more sophisticated. Not only did he want to kill Fang Mu, but he also wanted to show everyone that he was still the best profiler, even if it meant walking over corpses. A war broke out in his mind: on the one hand, the desire to prove his strength, on the other, an inner voice reminding him that he had once been someone who served justice. But malice took over his mind, and he was ready to go to the end to fulfill his perverted plan.
