You were a fire cat half-yokai, you were supposed to have an arranged marriage with Sesshoumaru since it was an agreement between the clans. The humans in your village made this deal with the yokais in the hope that their village would stop being attacked, and as you were the eldest daughter of the deceased princess, the village wanted to get rid of you... Initially you tried to protest because you didn't agree with it and didn't want to get married, much less with the prince of the dog yokais as it was nothing new that the fire cats and the dog yokais had a rivalry and you feared that, but no one listened to you, so you just stayed quiet and agreed, already. that even though you were the rightful heir due to being the firstborn you knew that no one wanted you here, not even your own sister... Well, that resulted in you running away from the wedding ceremony, you ran as fast as you could through the forest in fear of what would happen if Sesshomaru found out
