Appearance

Larry had long dark brown hair and tanned skin with a yellowish tone. He also had brown eyes that always remained in a neutral state unless he was experiencing strong emotions. He had a mole under his right eye and a gap between his teeth. He was usually seen wearing his light beige shirt with the "SF" logo on it accompanied by blue jeans with a chain on the left side and dark brown shoes.

Personality

Larry is strong-willed and sometimes calm. He seems to get along with others easily, but isn't afraid to stand up for what he believes in. He also seems to care a lot about his friends (one example being when he threatens to hurt others to protect Sal).

Hypnosis

Prior to the events of Episode 1, Larry Johnson is the firstborn and only son of Jim and Lisa Johnson. He led a relatively quiet and charming life in the Addison Apartments and was especially close to his father, developing a shared love of heavy metal and an above-average sense of curiosity. Life took a turn for Larry when he played with firecrackers against his parents' wishes and accidentally killed Mrs. Gibson's pet rabbit. That same night, he encountered a Red-Eyed Demon, who approached and touched the boy. From there, things took a turn for the worse. His father disappeared the next day, the firecracker incident sent him to reform school for two weeks and caused him to miss enough classes to attend summer school, and his bike was stolen. This series of unfortunate events led Larry to believe that he had been cursed. Larry proceeded to take everything his father owned and hide it from his mother in his treehouse, hoping that she would one day return. Moments before Sal Fisher arrived, he was cleaning Sandy Sanderson's bathroom when Charley Mansfield burst through the door and slit the woman's throat. Paralyzed with fear, Larry waited for the killer to leave before fleeing to his basement bedroom.

Synopsis: The arrival of Sal Fisher

The arrival of Sal Fisher Larry quickly becomes friends with Sal when Sal's mother introduces him to the latter. They bond over Sanity's Fall and art. When Sanderson's murder is brought up, Larry confides in Sal about what he had witnessed. Sal agrees to help and the two come up with a plan to put Charley behind bars. Larry fakes a robbery to draw the cop and detective away from Room 403 and allow Sal to enter. When Sal reports a missing space between two sparkly ponies, Larry calls him back to the basement. After giving Sal the bag, Larry is confronted with his dark secret. Larry calmly refuses to tell Sal anything, as they had only just met.

A dark secret A few months after Charley Mansfield's arrest, Larry listens to Sal's nightmares and decides he can trust him with the story of his "curse." When Sal offers to help him get rid of Larry's curse, he acts weary but accepts the offer anyway. After getting inside, Larry stays to care for his mother. When Lisa falls asleep from the cold medicine, Sal asks Larry to accompany him to the bathroom in Room 504 to meet the ghost of Megan Holmes. Larry complies, but Megan doesn't show up, prompting him to recommend resident brainiac and supernatural believer Todd Morrison to Sal. After talking to Todd, Sal asks Larry for his police scanner antenna, but Larry reluctantly hands it over. After the Super Gear Boy is completed and Megan's necklace is recovered, Larry once again accompanies Sal to room 504. This time Megan appears, much to Larry's surprise; a feeling that is intensified when he learns that her father was friends with Megan's father, Luke Holmes. After Megan is freaked out by the Red Eyes, Sal and Larry agree that the room is worth further investigation. Larry returns to his room after directing Sal to David's room 302 to look for a crowbar. When shown his father's "computer chip", he tells Sal that it looks familiar, but when the chip turns into a Rubik's cube, he does not recognize or remember its previous state. While Sal was investigating the hole in Room 504, Larry visited Todd to retrieve a device meant to ward off evil spirits, a device he later used on Red-Eyes before he could attack Sal. It soon became clear to Larry that Red-Eyes was around before he was born and that his father did not just disappear, abandoning his wife and son.

Synopsis: Bologna Incident

The Bologna Incident Larry first meets Sal and Ashley Campbell and offers them revenge on the school bully, Travis Phelps, an offer Sal declines. On bologna day, Larry noticed that the bologna tasted weirder than usual and agreed to help Sal ​​research the origin of the lunch meat. He and Sal questioned the lunch lady, Kim Yazzie, about the origins of the bologna, but was coldly dismissed, leading them to seek alternative solutions in the form of Kim's records. Sal provided a distraction while Larry snuck into the staff room to take a photo of Kim's file. After successfully completing his assignment, Larry rejoined Todd and Ashley in the labs. Later, Larry helps Sal break into Mrs. Packerton's classroom desk to look for evidence about the bologna. Sal retrieves a piece similar to Jim Johnson's puzzle box.

Synopsis: Investigating Room 201

Investigating room 201 Larry helps Sal break into Packerton's apartment and open the refrigerator to find the severed head of a goat, making Larry pleased that his guess about the bologna being goat meat was correct. When Sal encounters Mr. Packerton in a vegetative state, he hears the spirit's pleas to be put down. Larry will comply with this request if Sal refuses. The sound of someone entering the room forces Larry and Sal to hide, the former making an effort to protect the latter, but the newcomer was simply Ashley. During his brief stint in the hideout, Larry found a key chain from the other locked room. When the blood-stained refrigerator in the trunk is opened to reveal the boneless flesh of missing Nocksfell High students, Larry vomits twice but is still satisfied that the bologna's origin has been solved. Before they can leave, Ashley discovers (and falls into) a hidden garbage chute behind a picture of a farmhouse. Larry panics and quickly goes with Sal to find Todd and visit the basement.

Synopsis: The temple of worship

The temple of worship The trio enter a hidden room behind the lost and found shelves. After descending a hidden staircase, they find themselves in the God Eaters' temple. Larry accompanies Sal through the maze of doors while Todd stays behind to keep the entrance open. Much to Sal and Larry's relief, they find Ashley alive on a pile of bones from the Cult's victims. After getting her safely out of the temple, Larry proposes that they kill Packerton so he can't hurt anyone else. Todd and Ashley agree, but Sal protests, insisting that they should sleep on the decision. However, the decision is already made for them when Mrs. Packerton is killed in a drunk driving accident.
