chapter’s
Chapters are segments within Block Tales that consists of different areas, alongside enemies and bosses the player can encounter. The section below will discuss about all of the chapters that are currently in the demo, however as of now, there are three chapters in the game, including the prologue. As stated by the developers, each chapter will be released as a major update, with each chapter ending with the player receiving a SFOTH sword to use in battle. So far, the swords currently obtainable in the game include the Ice Dagger, the Venomshank, and the Ghostwalker.
Prologue: Hello World
The beginning of the game. This chapter allows players to get used to mechanics, such as dashing and lag delay. This is also where players are introduced to Tutorial Terry, a penguin-like character that players can choose to fight. This chapter will begin after leaving the Hotel. Throughout this chapter, players can explore a town called 'Bizville', and can interact with it's inhabitants, with some being useful for directions Also within this chapter, players are also introduced to two new minibosses, Blue and Red Noobs. Once defeated, players are given the Wooden Sword to navigate through areas blocked off by planks. The chapter's final boss fight is Noobador, who ambushes the player on the way to the Caves.
Chapter 1: Storming the Castle
The first chapter of the game. This chapter starts after defeating Noobador, where players will explore the Caves. The players can get to Roadtown, to find different items and cheaper, already seen items. The players explore Mt. Blackrock, and the Snowy Thicket, until they get dynamite to access Blackrock Castle. Blackrock Castle is the main dungeon of this chapter. The player does puzzles to get keys and unlock doors. This area mainly focuses on the Ball and Dynamite being used to work together. For example, there are a few areas where you use the ball to create a bridge with a pillar, and then use dynamite to blow up some rocks. In the castle, the players will find the Cruel King, who, once defeated, will end the chapter and give the Ice Dagger.
Chapter 2: A Toxic Time
The second chapter of the game. The chapter starts possibly after the player leaves the Basement HQ, where players are tasked to head towards the airport. Once there, Tutorial Terry will greet the player, allowing said player to travel to Plainstown, and from there, to Turitopulis. Once at Turitopulis, the player can hear the town mayor screaming for help, as several Robloxians jump over the fence. Once at the far right side of the town, players can see the Griefer, alongside the mayor and a Gorilla, with them running away afterwards. The player is then tasked with getting onto the mayor's jeep, beginning a minigame where players have to avoid hitting obstacles blocking the way. The player will then arrive at the forest, where after travelling, the player will stumble upon the three characters once again, this time resulting in a battle. After winning, the characters will then run away once more. The player is now tasked with finding a way to cut the tall grass down, resulting in the player receiving an Iron Sword, however, the Iron Sword is taken away by the Bigfoot, who runs away to the Mango Tree. After confronting the Bigfoot, a battle will then initiate. After winning the battle, players can now explore the rest of the forest, eventually ending up at the final area. After navigating through the area, the player will confront the Griefer, beginning a two-phase final boss battle. The first phase involves a now-stronger Griefer with increased health, with the second one involving an entirely new boss which is also stronger. After defeating the Griefer, the chapter will then end, and the player will be rewarded the Venomshank.
Chapter 3: All Hallows' Eve
The third chapter of the game. It begins after the player leaves the Basement HQ after receiving a Train Ticket from Shedletsky. Upon arriving at the Train Station, the player will be greeted by the conductor who admits the player into the train heading to Spooksville. When the train is attacked by bandits, the player is tasked to go to the driver's compartment and save the engineer. Upon arriving, the player finds Blue Noob and Red Noob, who are protecting the engineer, who is actually revealed to be Noobador. After Green Noob and Purple Noob suddenly intervene and knock Noobador unconcious, it is then revealed that they were the ones who sent the bandits to get revenge on Noobador, before attacking both the player and the two siblings. After the player defeats the duo along with Blue Noob and Red Noob, the player arrives at Spooksville and ventures through the cemetery to Telamon's Manor. Before entering into cemetery, the player will unlock Call: Red n' Blue. When the player reaches the manor, they are greeted by a butler who gives them a tour of the manor. After the tour, the Butler warns the player not to follow him out a backdoor to a strange portal, which leads to an alternate version of the manor infested with ghosts and undead creatures. When the player arrives into the kitchen of the manor, they are greeted to the ghost of the Kitchen Wizard from Chapter 1, who informs them of a "bodyguard" who protects the Ghostwalker, and tells the player that if they help prepare a meal for the residents, the Kitchen Wizard would give them a potion to help them obtain the sword. The Kitchen Wizard also informs the player that if one with an unpure soul were to hold the Ghostwalker, they would die, and heavily advises that the player refrain from touching it. After the player collects the ingredients needed, the Kitchen Wizard will reward the player with a Shark Fin Soup and the Ghost Potion, the latter allowing the player to enter into the catacombs, where on the way

bosses
bosses: cruel king, blue and red noob, noobador, Griefer, Greed, Hatred, Fear,Solitude Cruel King is the final boss of Chapter 1, residing in the throne room of the Blackrock Castle. Noobador is the final boss of the Prologue, and the first major boss of the game, also appearing along side Red and Blue Noobs. The Red & Blue Noobs are the first mini-bosses the player encounters, located in Roblox HQ. Griefer is the final boss of Chapter 2, alongside his other form, Bubonic Plant. Griefer also appears in the Rugged Rainforest. Greed is the first boss the player encounters in the Dream World. The player must reach the end of the Greedy Maze to get to it. Solitude is the second boss in the Dream World, To get to Solitude, the player has to solve the puzzle in the Symbol Room. Fear is the third boss of the Dream World. To reach Fear, the player must reach the end of Fear’s Forest by going the opposite way Fear indicates. Hatred is the final boss of Chapter 3, It is first disguised as Builderman, before transforming into its real self after defeating Fear.
Red Noob & Blue Noob (boss)
Blue appears as a blue R6 avatar with a dark blue torso, bright blue legs; with baby blue arms, head and the default smile. Red appears similarly, with the exception being that they are red-colored instead. abilities:Red approaches the target and winds their sword back. After a few seconds, Red spins their sword at their target, dealing Attack 1. Blue Noob's Moveset Blue Leg Stab (MELEE) Blue approaches the target, raising her sword up before stabbing it into her target's leg, dealing Attack 1. Revenge (PASSIVE)Whenever one of the two Noobs are downed, the other will gain Atk up status ATK Up (LV 1) for the rest of the battle. Trivia: Noobador is Red and Blue's uncle. Red and Blue having Hp 2 in the Noobador boss fight is likely a balance measure and thematically represents that the two are still recovering from their previous fight. Red was the enemy that pursued the player in the overworld on Floor 9, but that would later be changed to Noobador in Demo 2. Red and Blue are inspired by Blue Goomba and Red Goomba from Paper Mario, as they all have similar personalities. They both share identical HP to their Goomba counterpart, and both counterparts are related to one another. The Noobador boss fight could also be based off the King Goomba's fight in Paper Mario, with Red & Blue both having Hp 2. Blue is confirmed to be female, as proven by some of Red’s Revenge dialogue. (Red is likely to be female themselves, as there hasn't been any cases of male/non-female characters using dialogue sounds from female characters (ie. Asgore for Noobador's) or the other way around. Both Red and Blue use Martlet's (Undertale Yellow) dialogue sound.) This also makes Blue Noob one of only two explicitly female human enemies, the other being her mother, Purple. All other female enemies are some form of animal, with the exception of F'Ella. In the enemy index, despite being a boss, they actually have a level, that being 20. Considering that every chapter the max level cap goes up by
Noobador (boss)
Noobador appears as a shirtless noob Robloxian with yellow skin and red pants. He has the default smiling expression paired with confident eyebrows and wears a red mask exposing his eyes and mouth. abilities: Noobador walks up to his target and performs an elbow drop on them, abilities: inflicting Attack 3 and Dizzy status Dizzy for two turns. Superball Toss (RANGED) Noobador throws a dark purple Superball in a curved arc, inflicting Attack 3 and Def down status DEF Down (LV 1) for two turns. trivia: Noobador's defeat pose is a reference to Peter Griffin's death pose. This is the first time the Peter Griffin death pose appeared, with the other cases being with a generic Loyal Knight, the Kitchen Wizard, and both Bigfoot and Griefer's Sleep status Sleep animation. Noobador's name comes from the portmanteau "noob" and "luchador", which means "wrestler" in Spanish. Noobador's design may be based on the Noob Attack: Luchador Liability hat. Noobador may be inspired by King Goomba from Paper Mario 64. While Noobador doesn't have a direct reference with King Goomba, he is paired with Red Noob and Blue Noob at a damaged state, who are references to Red Goomba and Blue Goomba, both from the same game. He’s also the main boss of the prologue, similar to King Goomba. Noobador's animations are weirdly a hybrid of smooth and choppy animations in contrast to every other enemies' simply choppy animations. Noobador is the only final boss to not be an option to refight in Nirvana, likely due to him already being in The Pit. Noobador seems to be more emotionless and blunt than Blue Noob and Red Noob. For a while, Red Noob & Blue Noob’s theme would play upon encountering them in The Pit. This was a bug that later got fixed. Noobador seems to be one of the only Robloxian enemies that does not use a 2010 accessory. Instead, his mask seems to be custom-made. Noobador has been confirmed to be related to Red Noob & Blue Noob, being their uncle.
Cruel king (boss)
Cruel King appears as a blocky Robloxian with a white-colored head, black-colored arms, and gray-colored legs. Cruel King also appears in-game wearing the Royal Crown, a mouth with its tongue sticking out, and a pair of cyan-colored eyes. Cruel King points his scepter to conjure an icy mist that implodes after a short while, inflicting abilities: 5 and Frozen status Frozen (LV 1) for 1 turn to all players and allies. Freezing Stab (MELEE) Cruel King used Freeze! Cruel King walks up to his target, prepares his Ice Dagger, and quickly thrusts it into them, inflicting Attack 5 and Frozen status Frozen (LV 1) for one turn. Call for Help (SUPPORT) Can only be used if there is room for an enemy. Cruel King whistles and slams his scepter on ground twice, summoning either a Loyal Knight or Crossbow Crony. Refreshing Heal (SUPPORT) Cruel King heals all enemies, including himself, for Hp 1 and gives them Status defence up DEF Up (LV 1) for two turns. Trivia: If the player kills Cruel King without taking damage with a Loyal Knight or Crossbow Crony left standing in the battle, the player can still obtain The Achievement: Stylish even though the battle has not ended. In Demo 1, Cruel King's Refreshing Heal works almost the same way the Ice Dagger did in Demo 1, which would give all players Hp 4 and Status defence up DEF Up (LV 2) for three turns. The only difference is that the Ice Dagger would give Sp 4 as well, unlike Cruel King's Refreshing Heal. It is likely because enemies do not have Sp SP as players do; therefore, the move would not give Sp SP to enemies. From Cruel King's dialogue before his fight against the player, he constantly hears a voice tormenting him inside his head. Due to Griefer also having voices from wielding the Venomshank, it is possible that said voices come from the Ice Dagger. These voices seem to linger, even after being killed by the player. He mentions how he can still hear the voices when the player refights him in Cold Nirvana.
griefer (boss)
Griefer's skintone is white, though the grey seen on his hands is actually a part of his clothing. His outfit consists of a neon green jacket, presumably leather, with red finishes, a belt, and a grey chain across his right leg. His pants are black with red finishes, pockets and shoes. His face is the Red Fang face, and his hat is the ): Red Grind, both of which can be found in the Roblox catalog. abilities: Slam (MELEE) "Griefer slam!" Griefer jumps into the air and starts spinning. Soon after, he slams his crowbar into his target, inflicting Attack 7 and Slow status Slow for five turns. This attack has variable timings and may either be faster or slower. Crowbar Smack (RANGED) Griefer walks up to his target and quickly swings his crowbar down on them. He pauses for a moment, readies his crowbar, and swings it sideways. Each hit inflicts Attack 3 and Slow status Slow for three turns. Griefer Chargeup (SUPPORT) Griefer uses a turn to apply Charged Fixed Charged to himself. Super Slam (MELEE) "Griefer super slam!" Only occurs with Charged Fixed Charged or Atk up status ATK Up. Griefer jumps into the air and starts spinning. Soon after, he slams his crowbar into his target, inflicting Attack 9 and Dizzy status Dizzy for three turns. This attack has variable timings and may either be faster or slower. Second Fight Strong Crowbar Smack (RANGED) Replaces Crowbar Smack from the first fight and uses the same animation, with each hit inflicting Attack 5 and Slow status Slow for three turns. Venom Slice (MELEE) Griefer walks up to his target, pulls out the Venomshank, does a spin while twirling his Venomshank, and then slices his target, inflicting Attack 8 and Poison status Poison (LV 1) for three turns. Venom Spin (RANGED) Only occurs with Charged Fixed Charged or Atk up status ATK Up. Griefer walks up to his target, pulls out the Venomshank, and swings his sword downward. He then winds up for a short moment and starts spinning, hitting his
Griefer Trivia (boss)
Griefer is the only boss so far to have two phases, however Bubonic Plant is a different enemy than Griefer, so this is only partly true. He seems to be in charge of Blue Noob & Red Noob, as well as their uncle, Noobador. It was hinted he was the one to order them to attack Shedletsky.[2] Griefer speaks in leetspeak, often used by players in competitive games or hackers, where some letters are replaced with numbers. It is speculated he might have an addiction to Bloxy Cola and Witch's Brew, due to the piles of cans found all over his space, as well as a fact that a Woodsman mentioned an order of 1300 soda cans. [3] Griefer has a pet gorilla that works as his sidekick. In Griefer's room, a cage is seen next to his bed, which is speculated to belong to his monkey friend. [4] It is stated by Wood Man #64 that Griefer likes to eat a whole cake for his birthday. It was confirmed by Campyfire that Griefer isn’t dead, and will most likely make an appearance in a later chapter. Griefer's design is based off a skateboard sneak peak made by real life Shedletsky, but although with a traffic cone shirt and different pants.
Fear (boss)
Fear takes on the appearance of a long, purple, pixelated and slender stickman-like figure without legs or a head, with an inverted triangle serving as its torso. Extending from the bottom of this triangle is a pole-like length. The sides of its body have small, twig-like protrusions that make it appear more plantlike. It has six arms, four on the triangle and two on the "pole," varying in length depending on their position. Fear has a timid yet protective personality, referencing the associated feeling abilities: Shockwave (RANGED) Fear slams its pole into the ground, causing a tendril to continuously fall into the ground and rise closer to the left, dealing Attack 8. Hits the entire party, one player at a time. Apprehension (RANGED) Fear summons a purple orb above itself that gradually increases in size. After around 2 seconds, a thumping sound will play and the orb will strike the party with a beam, dealing Attack 10. Call for Help (SUPPORT) Fear starts summoning an ally to the battlefield. The screen darkens, and the music cuts out for a second before a Phobia appears. Total Dismay (SUPPORT) Fear screams and applies Silenced Status Silenced to all players for three turns. Trivia: The forest maze could be based off of the forest maze (same name, different thing) from Paper Mario 64. The Apprehension attack used to be a normal projectile attack.[1] The Apprehension attack used to have the orb turn yellow and have an audio to tell when the attack is about to hit the team, but the yellow indicator got removed and the audio is changed. Fear's theme is the fifth track on the official upload of the soundtrack in the chapter to reach 1.000.000 views, achieved on December 10th, 2024. It is also the second track in Chapter 3 to reach this milestone, with the chapter boss being the first one. It also contains a somewhat vague motif to the Dead Landers' theme, "???", from Bug Fables. It's unknown if this is intentional or not. If it is, it complements Fear
Greed (boss)
Greed appears as a pixelated, short and dark gold humanoid. It possesses long stretching arms, and a circular head with a gaping hole in their face. Trivia: Their appearance in The Pit shares the same appearance, hanging over the player when they walked over the pile of TIX TIX. The theme likely takes inspiration from Sonic CD's Wacky Workbench themes, more specifically the Bad Future version. During the Maze to get to them, the ambience playing in the background is a heavily slowed down version of their theme. Sentient Statue, Greed and Griefer (First encounter) are the only bosses with an HP value that is not a factor of 5. (Excluding Banished Knight and Spiky Killbot) Ironically, all of their HP values are 10 HP apart from each other.
Solitude (boss)
Solitude takes the form of a pixelated, deep blue, vertical, and oblong eye with a small circle for a pupil. It seems to have liquid-like properties, being able to rise from the ground. abilities: Spike Shot (RANGED) Solitude conjures a spike out of its eye and fires it forward, inflicting Attack 8 to the party. Pierces Defence Defense. Pain Rain (RANGED) Solitude fires six teardrops into the air that targets multiple players at random, all at once, raining down shortly after they fly up in the air. Each teardrop deals Attack 2. Detachment (SUPPORT) Solitude contorts into an odd shape, using a turn to apply Detachment Status Detachment to itself for three turns. Trivia: Solitude can do the most damage in the game with Pain Rain and Detachment, with a very specific set of conditions. You can almost bypass Detachment by using Slingshot, since it only deals one damage per pellet. Solitude's Pain Rain is reminiscent to Bubonic Plant's Acid Rain, although the drops are noticeably faster and there is 1 more of them, on top of the lack of poison. When moving in the battle, Solitude's eyes can be seen tracking the player's movement in the background. Solitude’s Detachment caps out at +10 attack power.
HARTED (boss)
Unbeknownst to the player at first, Hatred assumes the form of Builderman, offering guidance and encouragement throughout their journey to prove themselves worthy of the Ghostwalker. Once Fear is defeated, Hatred sheds the disguise and later reappears as a thin, slim creature with imp-like features, including horns and a spiked tail. It is highly malleable and capable of transforming into various shapes, resembling the properties of a liquid. This form can morph into a large, screaming face, particularly during its battle intro cutscene and when summoning assistance. abilities: "CORRUPTION forms in the mouths of the HATEFUL." Hatred charges up before launching three red spherical orbs toward its target. Each orb inflicts Attack 4 and three turns of Confusion Status Confusion (LV 1). PK Thunder (RANGED) "The air TINGLES with a looming sense of DREAD." Hatred shifts into a form resembling an orbital cannon with an eye before unleashing a massive thunder shock from the sky, dealing Attack 12. Pierces Defence Defense. Charge Outburst (UNDODGEABLE) "Your GHOST POTION resonates in the tension. . . " "YOU CANNOT GRASP THE SHEER POWER OF HATRED's ATTACK!" Hatred curls up into a ball, using a turn to give itself Charged Fixed Charged. In its next turn, it releases an outburst of energy, dealing Attack 60 to any player or ally caught in the attack. The outburst does deal increased damage if the player is using Double Pain or Hard Mode or has negative Defence Defense but does not when the player is in a party. This attack is only avoidable through Invisible Status Invisible and Dodgy status Dodgy. Call for Help (SUPPORT) Hatred can only use this move if there is room for an enemy. Hatred contorts into a demonic face, summoning an Apparition from the ground. Trivia: Hatred is directly inspired by Giygas from the Earthbound series, and many aspects of its design reflect this. Hatred is the embodiment of wrath, similar to how Giygas embodies pure evil.
