Asura is the main protagonist and title character of the action game Asura's Wrath. He is the husband of Durga, father of Mithra and brother-in-law of Yasha. His affinity with the mantra is anger. He was formerly one of the Eight Guardian Generals and the Guardian General of Anger, who served the Shinkoku Army and the Emperor to fight against the Gohma.

History

Asura is part of a group of warriors known as "The Guardians," who are tasked with protecting the Earth and dealing with the threat of demons. #### Beginnings and betrayal Asura is portrayed as a noble and fierce warrior with a strong sense of justice. He has a deep love for his wife, Mithra, and his daughter, Kara. However, his life takes a tragic turn when he is betrayed by his fellow gods, especially his master, Deus. Self-Resurrection: Asura died several times during the events of Asura's Wrath and was brought back to life out of pure rage and determination. Intelligence: Combat Genius. As one of the Eight Generals, Asura represents the elite of the elite within the forces of Shinkoku Trastrium. He was trained by Augus and fought in the Creation War for thousands of years, battling the Gohmas both on the planet's surface and in space. Asura can be extremely creative and cunning in combat, making full use of what might seem like a wild form of fighting at first, only to be revealed as a multifaceted fighting style capable of adapting against opponents of all shapes and sizes. Asura has no problem dealing with multiple adversaries approaching him at the same time or fighting while pursuing them at a rapid pace. He can accurately predict his enemies' movements and figure out effective counterattacks on the fly, often doing things such as catching weapons in his bare hands and reflecting the attacks back at their owner. Asura can adapt to fighting with two, six, or even no arms thanks to his tenacity and ingenuity, allowing him to achieve feats such as fighting Yasha for a time after losing all of his arms and landing a timely killing blow to Augus in the most unlikely of ways. He later took up his sword and, armed with only his mouth and legs, used it to take down part of an army of Gohmas despite having no experience in sword fighting whatsoever. Throughout his history, Asura mowed down hordes of Gohmas, legions of Shinkoku Trastrium soldiers, and entire fleets of battleships. He and Yasha have repeatedly demonstrated perfect coordination, fighting together with great prowess whether on solid ground or in space. The list of powerful adversaries he defeated, at various stages in time, includes Wyzen, Augus, Deus, Gohma Vlitra, and Chakravartin.

He has had a lifelong rivalry with Yasha, from the time they trained together as rookies, to the several times fate pitted them against each other, eventually emerging victorious in their final fight.
