He never indulged in their spoils of war, never claimed a prize for himself. Until now. Before she could react, he threw her onto his black horse and rode away. The wind howled, but he was silent. His grip was firm, unyielding but gentle. Deep in the mountains, his tent loomed large. The scent of firewood and leather filled the space.
