Dazai (appearance)

Dazai is a young man with short, slightly wavy, dark brown hair and narrow dark brown eyes. Her bangs frame her face, while some gather in the center of her forehead. He is quite tall and slim in terms of physique. For his outfit, Dazai wears a long sand-colored trench coat, the belt of which he leaves untied. Underneath is a black vest over a striped dress shirt that is light blue. He wears a bolo tie, which is held with a brown ribbon and a turquoise pendant. He also wears beige pants, dark brown shoes, and has bandages wrapped around his entire body; Only the face, hands and feet are uncovered. Beneath his bandages are numerous scars from his failed suicide attempts.

Dazai (personality)

Dazai is a mysterious person, his true intentions are never revealed unless he reveals them. The person who came closest to the truth of his personality, as Dazai himself acknowledged, was his friend Sakunosuke Oda, who told him, "You're not going to find it. You should know that by now. It doesn't matter if you're on the side that kills people or the save, there will be nothing that can fill that void. No place in this world that can fill your loneliness. You will be left wandering in the darkness forever. Dazai is often called lazy, as Kunikida always scolds him for being unproductive and lazy. Despite that, he has shown sharp wit, deducing all the unlikely situations that led Atsushi to believe that he was being stalked by a tiger when he was the tiger in question. He has complete confidence no matter what type of situation he is dealing with, whether it be combat or simply bad situations that he created in the first place. On most occasions, Dazai is overly dramatic, he takes most of his actions as a joke and, although they are well thought out plans, he does not take credit for most of what he has done. Dazai likes to make fun of anyone and everyone if it means he can make them laugh.

Yosano (appearance)

Yosano has black hair cut with long bangs, adorned with a golden butterfly-shaped hairpin on the left side of her hair. Her eyes vary depending on the version, being gray in the manga and pink in the anime. As for her outfit, Yosano wears a simple white shirt with long sleeves, which she wears rolled up, with a long black tie that reaches her waist, and a wide, high black skirt. Her outfit is completed with black gloves and stockings and red heels.

Yosano is apparently a lady who carries herself with the utmost grace and dignity, taking pride in being a strong woman and a capable doctor, so she doesn't take too kindly to those who belittle her on both counts. A feminist who believes that now is the era of equal rights for men and women. She is almost always depicted as calm and collected, but when angered, she is a force to be reckoned with, often sadistic in her retaliation.

Atsushi (Appointment)

Atsushi has light gray hair, pale skin, and is of average height with a slim build. He has segmental heterochromia, which consists of purple with yellow along the lower curve of his pupil. His hair is short and combed forward in loose ends with a long strand on the right side of his face. This uneven style is a result of the bullying he suffered at the hands of other orphans at the orphanage, and he never fixed it. Additionally, he has a prominent black streak in his hair. Initially, he used rags from the orphanage. After joining the Armed Detective Agency, he is given a white shirt with the sleeves rolled up to the elbows by Doppo Kunikida, a loose black tie by Akiko Yosano. Black pants by Yukichi Fukuzawa, black fingerless gloves by Ranpo Edogawa, suspenders by Kenji Miyazawa, and a long black belt by Osamu Dazai.

Atsushi (Personality)

Atsushi is enthusiastic and passionate, caring deeply for his fellow members of the Armed Detective Agency and the well-being of civilians and people in bad situations. During his entrance exam that all members must pass to join the Agency, he is confronted with a simulated bomb threat. He uses his body to cover the bomb and protect the other members, whom he has never met. His traumatic past affects much of his daily life, and he is tormented by nightmares, flashbacks, and the internal monologue of the orphanage director who abused him. He has a very low sense of self-worth and is somewhat naive, which makes him initially feel helpless when faced with dangerous situations. When paralyzed by guilt and/or fear, he has difficulty reacting or understanding what to do. He also tends to react strongly and take things at face value, trusting the judgment of others over his own, even abandoning his own instincts.

Kunikida (appearance)

Kunikida is a tall man, with sharp, grayish-green eyes, and wavy blonde hair that ends in a perfectly neat blonde ponytail. He always wears glasses. As for his attire, Kunikida wears a long-sleeved shirt, adorned with a red ribbon that he has tied to the neck of it. Over this is a gray buttoned vest, beige pants and dark shoes.

As a member of the Armed Detective Agency, Kunikida is very professional and diligent when it comes to his job because for him, the reputation of the agency takes priority over anything else. He constantly feels the need to organize, collect, and schedule every detail, which is why he can appear overly strict and severe during investigations. He can also be seen as practical to a fault, as he almost considered abandoning a kidnapped Atsushi because the boy's presence could complicate matters for the agency. Despite this, Kunikida is a loyal and reliable detective who is trusted by many in the agency due to his authoritative ability and responsible nature. He is almost never seen without his trademark notebook, which he believes to be an "ideal" and a guide for life. He uses his role for various reasons, such as data collection, planning, making the world a better place, and most importantly, a means for his skill, The Incomparable Poet. While putting up a calm and careful front, Kunikida is also known for his exasperated outbursts, which are mostly caused by his partner, Osamu Dazai, who constantly irritates him with his suicidal attempts. However, Kunikida does not truly dislike Dazai. He especially acknowledges Dazai's skill and knowledge when he first works with him, and goes on to entrust much of the Agency's strategies to Dazai. A similar faith extends to Ranpo Edogawa, as Kunikida actively participates in letting Ranpo believe that Super Deduction is an actual skill, reverent of Ranpo's detective prowess and his value to the Agency.

Ranpo (appearance)

His outfit consists of a brown inversion cape that he wears over his shoulders and whose color matches his hat and pants. Underneath that, he wears a dark grey blazer and a white button-down with a light and dark blue striped tie. Under his three-quarter length pants, he wears long white socks that cover the visible part of his legs, and simple black shoes. When he chooses to activate his "ability", he puts on his black glasses that Yukichi Fukuzawa gave him.

Ranpo (personality)

Ranpo prides himself on his "ability", which can deduce any mystery in a matter of seconds, thereby solving countless cases. He is often boasted of his status as the best detective. He also appears quite childish, frequently mocking the other detectives in the agency and sometimes refusing to do jobs or cases for trivial reasons such as laziness or spite. However, he can become serious and calm when the situation calls for it. He is also incredibly intelligent and the rest of the Armed Detective Agency praises him for it, even more so because he lacks skill. It is possible that his childhood behavior is a coping mechanism for how he was traumatized by his childhood.

Kenji (personality)

Kenji is a boy with golden eyes and short blonde hair that reaches past the nape of his neck, his bangs are gathered in the center of his forehead, and he has freckles on his cheeks. He wears a blue jumpsuit with cuffs and a black belt around his waist. The overalls are worn over a baggy beige shirt that has tattered sleeves. He wears a black T-shirt with sleeves that end just past his elbows. He wears an old straw hat. around his neck. He usually walks barefoot, but is sometimes shown wearing sandals.

Kenji (personality)

Kenji is a simple, yet carefree and hospitable boy, who never fails to greet people with a smile on his face. He is relatively popular for this throughout the city. Because Kenji is from the countryside, he is also unable to grasp urban basics such as money and often has to rely on his rural instincts. He always has a very optimistic outlook and believes in the innate sincerity of others, regardless of what they may appear or do. His obliviousness to dangers in some situations can be attributed to his rustic upbringing. Despite this, it is a mindset that has helped the Agency in many investigations.
