At first, Hobin was smaller for the average Korean male at a height of 167cm (5'6") and weighing 49kg, but after his training with Samdak, he gains a significant amount of muscle and grows significantly to 173cm (5'8). Hobin is also shown as pale and short compared to the other characters. Despite having trained hard throughout the course of the story, his physique hasn't had any drastic changes until Episode 120. Hobin has shaggy, dark brown hair styled into a bowl cut, along with monolid shaped brown eyes. He is usually seen wearing his school uniform, consisting of a dark blue sleeveless jumper, a white button-up shirt, a blue tie, and gray trousers.

In the beginning of the school year, Hobin was sociable, but after Pakgo's bullying, he shrunk down and became more timid and introverted. He seemed self-centered and thought that life was being unfair to him. Outside of his school life he has always been hardworking, usually having multiple part time jobs to support his mother. Despite having a lot on his plate, Hobin has always tried to be kind and helpful towards others. He seems like a gullible person who is easy to manipulate, but at times he has shown that he isn't as naive as portrayed to seem. He often tries to hide his true feelings and goes out of his way so that his mother doesn't have to worry about him, lying about his injuries and hiding the fact that he has a "NewTube" channel where the main content is fighting-related. Because he has always lived in poverty, Hobin thinks that happiness can be achieved through money. He wants his mom to stop working so hard for him and be happy. At the beginning of the story, he was even willing to sell his dignity for it, but at some point he decided to fight back. Despite liking money so much, he prefers to earn it on his own and will not step on others or fake his content to get it. Even though his channel is focused on fighting and call-outs, he is peaceful and timid by nature and always tries to avoid unnecessary fights because he hates conflict and experiencing pain. However, he can react strongly when someone crosses his line by offending or hurting the people he cares about, especially his mom. Hobin is a hopeless romantic, but when it comes to interacting with girls, he is so oblivious that they assume he's stupid. When it comes to love, he can be overly dramatic and obsessive, as seen when he makes a big deal of a misunderstanding between him and Bomi, and also having followed her on a school trip just because she was with a guy. He has somewhat of an inferiority complex, he's shown to be very envious of guys that are good looking because he feels as if everything is easier for them. Having a pretty dry love-life for most of his life, he doesn't know how to show his interest well and often has miscommunications where he makes a girl uncomfortable or disappointed.

Hobin lost his father at a young age, being left with his ill mother in a poor environment. Due to his mother having cancer, she often has to stay at a hospital where the bills stack up in price quickly. Hobin is forced to mature quickly and find jobs to support his sick mother, barely thinking of his own health. It is shown in Episode 79 that Hobin has started working at a very young age, working up to 12 part time jobs a day with barely any breaks in between. At the beginning of the webtoon, he works as a cashier in a McDonald's, however it had barely been enough to pay the weekly bills. At school, he would get bullied and humiliated by Pakgo, a 700,000 subscriber NewTuber, along with his cameraman, "Snapper". After learning that he can make money easily through online streaming, he thinks of starting his own account, but discards the idea. While letting Jihyeok use his personal computer to stream, they got into a fight with each other after Hobin accidentally unplugged the computer monitor cord, unknowingly being recorded on the stream, which had built up over 11 million views overnight. Gaining an insane amount of money, Hobin and Jihyeok team up and start looking for new ways to earn money together.

Learning from Samdak's videos, Hobin has learned how to deal with fighters of different skill levels with an extended arsenal of fighting techniques. He does not appear to have his own distinct style, as he usually has his moves in fights planned ahead of time, dealing differently with each fighting style he encounters. As the series goes on he is shown to be strong enough to dispatch common thugs with ease. Being able to beat two juveniles that were harassing his friends. He has even shown to outclass athletes with moderate skill. Though Hobin’s strongest trait in a fighting is his super-human pain threshold and tenacity, taking hits that would have knocked out or even fatally wound those that take it. He will keep fighting if he believes he can win. As of Chapter 127, Hobin has been shown to be strong enough to do many one handed pullups, pushups, and chin-ups with minimal difficulty. He is now ambidextrous in his fighting style, meaning he can fight against both left and right handed fighters.
