Aizawa's appearance

Shota is a tall, thin man with pale skin, messy shoulder-length black hair that hangs partially in front of his face, and half-closed black eyes. He is generally recognized by his worn-out appearance,[5][6] often looking fatigued. His facial hair is almost always in a disheveled and unkempt state (unless he needs to look good for the press), and his eyes are tired and flat unless he is in combat. He wears a baggy black outfit consisting of a long-sleeved shirt and matching pants that tuck into his boots. He also wears a utility belt and his signature wraparound scarf at all times. He hides a pair of bright yellow glasses under his scarf for when he needs to use them in battle. [7] Before starting his teaching career, Shota's glasses were a silver color and he had a smaller tool belt. During his second and third years of high school at U.A., Shota's hero outfit was a separate black jacket and pants, unlike his current outfit which looks more like a leotard. He also sported a pair of fingerless gloves. In his second year, Shota added glasses to his costume. His glasses in his third year look more like the ones he wears today.

Aizawa's appearance

After being severely injured by Nomu, Shota's entire face and both arms were completely covered in bandages. [8] Once these bandages were removed, Shota reveals a deep scar beneath his right eye. [9] His formal attire for press conferences and meetings with his students' parents includes a black suit, blue tie, and white shirt. With this attire, his hair is neatly combed and pulled back into a low bun at the base of his neck. In his free time or when relaxing in his staff apartment, Shota wears a loose black shirt with long sleeves and wears his hair in a messy bun. During the fight against Tomura Shigaraki, Shota had to cut off his right leg to prevent the Quirk Destroying Drug from destroying his Quirk. [10] As a result of the battle, Shota now has a second scar on his eye that extends from his eyebrow to his lower eyelid, as well as an eyepatch that completely covers his right eye, due to the damage he received from Tomura. He also now possesses a prosthetic right leg. [11] After the Final War, Shota has a short portion of his hair tied back with a long lock hanging down the right side of his face and covering his missing eye. [12] Eight years after the war, Shota still wears the same outfit. His hair is short, now reaching halfway down his face and parted on the right. [2]

Aizawa's personality

Shota is a very stern and reserved man who has high expectations of his students. He is primarily motivated by logic and does not believe in the need to maintain a flawless appearance or filter his words or ideas for others. He is often shown to be cold, apathetic, and impatient, and in most situations displays very little energy, preferring instead to take naps in his sleeping bag. [6] As a teacher with notoriously high expectations, Shota is known for expelling students he believes are unfit for U.A. However, it is revealed that this high expulsion rate is only on paper and that he actually re-enrolls the students he expels: Shota does this so they can experience "death" once, giving them an experience that drives them to strive even harder. [13] Though it is noteworthy that he has yet to expel any students from Class 1-A, despite being known for doing so. [14] He can be rigid and strict when necessary and has a low tolerance for disobedience. Shota is not afraid to put his students through rigorous training and often pushes the more unpleasant parts of heroism, so that his students can push their limits. Shota has been shown to be very outspoken and unafraid when it comes to expressing his ideas. He has mentioned on several occasions that some of UA's decisions regarding exams are not practical or challenging enough for true Hero aspiring students and is adamant in his desire to change certain systems used by the institution. [15] He has also openly stated that he did not believe Izuku Midoriya could become a hero when they first met. [7] He is also known for lying to his students in order to manipulate them into doing their best, a technique he describes as a "logical ruse"/"rational deception". [16]

Aizawa's personality

Shota's impression on his students. Despite his apathetic traits, Shota genuinely cares for his students and will go to great lengths to protect them, as he saved Tsuyu Asui from being broken down by Tomura Shigaraki, despite her severe injuries. [17] He has also expressed his faith in his students on multiple occasions, and is confident that even people like Katsuki Bakugo will not be swayed by villains. [18] Recovery Girl even hinted that she allowed herself to be captured by Momo Yaoyorozu during her first term final exam in order to boost her confidence. [19] Shota is also quite caring, as he has been seen tending to his duties as Eri's tutor without complaint. This is seen where he mentions to All Might that she was fast asleep, indicating that he is very attentive and involved in his role as a provider even outside of his duties as a teacher and mentor. He is shown to be extremely distraught upon discovering the final fate of his friend Oboro Shirakumo . He displayed intense grief when confronting Kurogiri after discovering that he is Oboro, showing that Shota has yet to accept his friend's fate. Furthered by this tragedy, Shota is shown to be particularly wrathful towards people who are unfortunate enough to provoke him, especially in harming those he cares about. This was seen when Shota strangled Kyudai Garaki after learning of the desecration of Oboro's corpse, blocking Kyudai's gift of longevity, tormenting and humiliating the elderly scientist in a display of pure rage. Despite his personality, Shota has shown on several occasions that he is not completely devoid of joy or humor: he often smiles when he is impressed by one of his students[7][20] or after tricking them with one of his 'rational deceptions'.[14][16]

hero suit equipment

Eye Drops: Shota carries a small green case of eye drops with him. He uses them to treat the dryness of his eyes that comes from keeping his eyes open for too long. Capture Weapon (捕縛武器, Hobaku Buki ? ): Eraser Head's weapon of choice is a cloth made of steel wire alloy woven with carbon nanofibers. Eraser's Glasses: Eraser Head can be recognized by the golden glasses he wears around his neck, hidden by his scarf. These glasses complement his Quirk, obscuring his line of sight and effectively preventing enemies from determining which Quirk has been erased. He received the glasses during his school years from Oboro. High-Density Weights (Final Exams Arc): Eraser Head and the rest of the teachers use these bracelets to give themselves an advantage while fighting their students. Caltrops - Eraser Head used caltrops in the practical battle against Team Todoroki and Yaoyorozu. They were effective when used in combination with the Capture Gun. After suspending Shoto in the air with the Capture Gun, Shota threw caltrops beneath Shoto so that he couldn't land safely should he escape his restraints. Knife: Eraser Head has a large knife. It is useful for cutting off his capture weapon if it gets stuck on something. He can also use it in combat. Prosthetic Leg - After being forced to cut off his own right leg during the fight against Tomura, Shota uses a prosthetic leg.
