Yusuke, Ryuji and Ren

Yusuke

Design Yusuke has dark blue hair with parted bangs that slightly cover his left eye and gray eyes. His in-game character model is noticeably taller and slimmer than other male characters. He is described as a "pretty boy" by fellow Phantom Thieves members Ann Takamaki and Ryuji Sakamoto on two separate occasions. Yusuke does not wear the regulation Kosei High uniform, unlike his fellow student Hifumi Togo. His winter uniform consists of a white gakuran-style shirt embroidered with a fleur-de-lis, tight-fitting black pants, and black loafers. A silver ring containing several keys is attached to his belt loop. His summer uniform replaces the white dress shirt with an ultramarine-colored button-down shirt, which Yusuke wears with the sleeves rolled up to his elbows. His winter attire consists of a grey blazer with white vertical stripes over a white long-sleeved shirt with red and pink accents, black pants, and black ankle boots. During the summer, he wears an indigo, grey, and black long-sleeved shirt with black pants and black casual loafers. For the mid-winter semester in Persona 5 Royal, Yusuke wears a long teal coat with white buttons over his regular school uniform. On his days off, he wears a taupe coat over a dark blue, electric blue, and black patterned tunic. He retains the black pants and ankle-high boots from his previous outfit. Her Metaverse attire consists of a traditional kitsune-style half-mask, a high-necked black jumpsuit with puffed sleeves and a striped sash worn on her hips, white biker boots, and bright blue gloves. Attached to the jumpsuit is a white fox tail.

Yusuke

personality His passion for art is admired and respected by the group, though they also see him as somewhat odd. His mindset moves to the beat of his own drum and his thought process can be erratic. At one point, Ann claims that he is "on a different wavelength than other people" before retracting and saying that he is simply odd. However, Yusuke is well aware that his mind works differently than most people's, to the point of admitting that he is eccentric, and is downright offended when anyone makes fun of him for it or even points it out. However, due to his work as an artist, Yusuke has distanced himself from the influence of others, and is rather prickly when he states that he is not interested in recognition from others. However, despite his introverted approach to art, firm in his idea that he does not need anyone else's guidance to forge his path as an artist, he does not paint exclusively for himself, and in his Confidant he begins to add a splash of color that others can appreciate, rather than being aggressive with his own opinions on pure beauty, which Yusuke himself begins to think are lofty in and of themselves. In short, he draws to purify, help, and save others, in his own way. Unfortunately, Yusuke's dignity is fragile, causing him to overreact whenever his status as an artist is threatened - he takes a criticism of the emptiness of his work to heart. Otherwise, when he feels confident, Yusuke rages about his art out of passion, and may monologue loudly to himself. One of the most prominent problems for Yusuke is his reluctance to admit the fraudulence of his mentor Madarame, as his pride as an artist is based on the dependence on the image of the mentor he admired: after facing the truth, Yusuke begins to distance himself from Madarame, but still has the bad habit

Ryuji

Appearance Design Civil Ryuji has short, spiky, dyed blonde hair and dark brown eyes. According to Sadayo Kawakami, his hair is naturally black. He has a noticeable widow's peak and his eyebrows are unusual in that they lack the outer sides. He is shown to be muscular. He wears his winter school uniform slightly modified. It consists of the standard black jacket with red buttons, unbuttoned to reveal a yellow T-shirt with a colorful green and magenta comic book style star symbol and the word "ZOMG!" on it. He has black pants with a red plaid pattern rolled up to reveal his ankles and part of his shins. He wears black suspenders that hang down instead of being worn over his shoulders, a white canvas belt, and white and red Converse-like low top sneakers that have a rising sun flag motif on them. His summer school uniform is the same as his winter one, except his yellow T-shirt is replaced with a red one that says "NO MORE RULES", he no longer wears his jacket, and now wears white and black high top sneakers, and a black spiked wristband on his left arm. On his days off in the winter, he wears a purple zip-up hoodie with a red lining and the number "777" on the back, a black t-shirt with a frowning yellow face on it and colorful sunglasses, black pants, and yellow sneakers. In the summer, he wears a yellow tank top that reads "ON UR MARK!" with red shoe prints on it, light grey cargo shorts that fall down slightly, revealing hot pink boxers with a thin green stripe, and blue sneakers with two white diagonal lines on either side. Additionally, he wears a chain necklace and a white belt as accessories. During the third semester of Persona 5 Royal, Ryuji wears a bright blue padded jacket with a brown fur lining on the hood over a red sweatshirt with a graffiti paint design, a camouflage-print scarf

Ryuji

Ryuji is known as a disruptive "troublemaker" at school whose bad behavior causes all sorts of trouble for the teachers. He is quite proud of his status as a self-proclaimed "troublemaker" and his rebellious, mischievous, and disobedient nature are the perfect qualities to be a Phantom Thief. He is sometimes vulgar and aggressive, as shown in his early interactions with the protagonist, Yusuke Kitagawa, and Makoto Niijima. He is also quite hot-tempered, taking offence easily even by the slightest comment, causing him to resort to trying to be threatening. Although there is some truth to his terrible temper, this causes a misunderstanding as there is more to him than meets the eye, as Ryuji is actually optimistic, lazy, and even cowardly. Although much of this just comes from his appearance, mannerisms, and even his language, his laid-back nature in itself makes him look worse at times. In certain dialogues in Mementos, Ryuji will comment that when trying to keep his eyes peeled for information, people have told him that he seems "even more of a jerk than before." [8] Otherwise, even other members of the group may misunderstand him in rare instances and think he is just an idiot. Even then, from the beginning, Ryuji actively tries to be a better person, but goes overboard by showering others with unsolicited kindness.

Ren

appearance He has wavy, unkempt black hair and dark grey eyes. For most of his civilian outfits, he wears a pair of black glasses. While wearing his glasses, he has the appearance of an ordinary boy. However, when he takes off his glasses, his eyes give off an intense look. Since he does not wear his glasses during his first meeting with Masayoshi Shido, the fireworks scene, or the ending of Persona 5, it is unlikely that they are necessary for vision correction, but are instead fake glasses that he has adopted as part of his public persona, in order to appear more modest during his probation. In Royal, it is outright confirmed by Morgana that the protagonist is wearing fake glasses when the protagonist attempts to interact with a shop called "Two Windows" in Kichijoji. In the true ending of Royal (excluding the end of the post-credits scene) and during the events of Persona 5 Strikers, the protagonist is still wearing them. His default outfit is his winter school uniform, which consists of a black jacket with red buttons with the Shujin emblem on the pocket, a white high-collared shirt with chevron detailing on the collar, and red checkered pants. He is shown in Episode 5 of Persona 5 The Animation wearing black suspenders underneath his jacket. During the summer, he wears the school's regulation polo shirt, albeit unbuttoned and strapless.
