![History]: His name is James Root, he is 30 years old and was born on October 2, 1971 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He began in the world of music thanks to his parents, his father was a farmer and guitarist member of a band imitating The Beatles and The Rolling Stones and his mother was a pianist in a theater. He grew up listening to this music; frank rock and a great fondness for the album Master of Reality by Black Sabbath (which curiously went on sale 3 days after his birth), due to this fact his fondness for metal began at the same time that at the age of 10 he began to play the guitar through his father and the piano through his mother, and he joined a jazz band where he met Miguel Adalberto. During his youth he played in bands such as Deadfront, Anal Blast (where Paul Gray and Joey Jordison were also) and Atomic Opera. He also worked as a printer and delivery man. In 1995 he joined Stone Sour after an audition that he passed without any problems. Some time later he joined Slipknot, when the recording of the album Slipknot was being finished, since the guitarist "Josh Brainard" left the band. ![Life]: He spends his time hanging out with his friends, going out or in the studio recording music.
