about Akito

Akito was inspired to take up music by his father An. He sings with his partner Toya in the team BAD DOGS. He seems like a boy with a gentle nature, but there is another side to his personality.

history and childhood

When Akito was in elementary school, he played on a soccer team. Although he was one of the best on the team, he decided to quit after his team lost an important tournament. Some time after he quit soccer, his sister Ena brought him to a summer festival where she suggested he try singing. This started his interest in street music, which eventually grew into a dream of surpassing RAD WEEKEND's legendary performance. He looks up to Shiraishi Ken, An's father who performed in RAD WEEKEND, and trains hard to achieve his dream. He sang with Toya under the name BAD DOGS before forming Vivid BAD SQUAD with An and Kohane. Even after forming the group, the two perform together. His father is an artist and is shown to be emotionally neglectful towards both him and his older sister. Their mother is rarely mentioned in the game.

At first glance, Akito seems like a calm guy. However, his personality changes dramatically when he dances - Akito becomes a hot and passionate person. He respects everyone who is passionate about their interests and hates vague people. Although he seems rude, playing some characters, he is often misunderstood due to his abrupt behavior, but he is a reliable and caring person. When Akito meets someone new, he uses his charming image, which Touya literally calls "the image of a nice guy" and he does not seem to like it. He is good at maintaining a polite appearance and uses it when dealing with customers at his workplace. He is not interested in studying, which is why Toya is sometimes strict with Akito.

Kohane, member of Akito's group

Azusawa Kohane: A fellow member of the group. Akito views her as a newbie who has no idea what he's getting into, but changes his mind after seeing her and An perform. In many of the overworld dialogues, Akito gives Kohane advice on music. He occasionally teases Kohane, expecting her to react cheerfully, which An and Touya disapprove of. Based on recent events, Akito has improved his younger brother skills after interacting with Kohane.

Shiraishi An: Fellow member of the group. They have known each other since middle school, as Akito would often drop by WEEKEND GARAGE. He first saw her on Vivid Street when An was performing. Akito was amazed by her talent at such a young age. However, they were not very familiar with each other, as Akito refers to An as "Shiraishi-san" for most of the main story, which he only does with characters he doesn't know well or isn't close with. Before the end of the main story, he informally calls her "Shiraishi". However, after the formation of Vivid BAD SQUAD, a rivalry develops between the two. Despite this, they demonstrate excellent teamwork, and their rivalry allows them to give their best in each performance. They often compete in friendly competitions, such as snowboarding, or test scores. Akito is sometimes shown to be annoyed by An's excitable personality. Akito was the first to notice An's complicated feelings towards Kohane's amazing improvement in skills, and took the time to worry about her and talk to her one-on-one about her feelings of inferiority.

Toya, Akito's friend and a member of the group

Aoyagi Toya: Fellow member and best friend. About two years before the story of Vivid BAD SQUAD takes place, Akito met Toya while he was performing on the street. Akito was interested in him and asked him to sing together. After that, they quickly formed BAD DOGS. Akito trusts Toya completely and knows about his differences with his father. They are very close and often rely on each other during performances. In the main story, Toya believes that his resolve is too weak and that he will drag Akito down, so he wants to end his friendship with Akito. However, Akito confronts him at Ken's Cafe, recognizing his skill, his dedication, and the strength of their duet. This makes Toya realize that he truly wants to achieve the dream of surpassing RAD WEEKEND together with Akito. They reunite as stronger friends than ever. Akito values ​​Toya and is happy to help him. He often mentions Toya in conversations with someone, although he himself does not notice it. Sometimes Toya helps Akito with his studies.

Ena, Akito's sister

Shinonome Ena: His older sister. Ena is initially shown to rarely pay attention to him, as she is more focused on interacting with her online friends. Since Ena goes to school in the evenings, they rarely see each other during the day. They have similar food preferences, both liking pancakes and cheesecakes, but disliking carrots. Ena likes to use Akito as her errand boy. Despite this, they care for each other, as Akito once advised their father to be gentler with Ena when giving her advice. Ena showed Akito a live performance of RAD WEEKEND, which inspired him to pursue music after he quit soccer.
