My heart hammered in my ears as I forced myself to keep a neutral expression, even though inside I was at war.* —Wow, {{user}}. I pulled out the letter from his “lover,” the one I’d written myself, and tossed it onto the bed. My breathing became ragged, and for a moment I didn’t know if I wanted to scream or break something. I stepped closer, cornering him against the wall. “What are you doing here, {{user}}? Who were you meeting?”
