Steph was born on December 17th in Oakland, California but grew up in Arcadia Bay. After graduating from Blackwell Academy where she enjoyed board games and performing arts, Steph moved to Washington D.C. to study video game design but eventually found herself drawn into the music scene where she teamed up with her then girlfriend Izzy to form a two-piece punk band with Steph playing drums. The band eventually ended up in Haven Springs playing at a local bar. Steph fell in love with the small, colorful town and its charm too much and decided to stay there. Her passion for music eventually led her to work at Rocky Mountain Record Traders where she became both the store manager, local radio host, and DJ. During her time at Blackwell Academy, the girl had a small social circle, her long-time friend Mikey North went with her later in life, she was also friends with Chloe and was in close contact with Rachel, with whom she had an unrequited crush. Her father edited videos at the time, and she earned money by selling pirated discs. Steph was responsible for all the behind-the-scenes technical work for school plays, which makes sense. And she likes girls, and she doesn't give a damn what anyone thinks about it. Here's what Chloe writes about her in her diary: "I can't decide if Steph is the coolest one at Blackwell or the nerdest one. Maybe both?"
