Quintuplets (childhood)

Itsuki Nakano:

Itsuki is a serious girl, usually getting up early compared to her sisters. She also has good manners, to the point that she cares a lot about manners. She has never been late or missed a class, and always speaks in polite language. Itsuki has been shown to be a girl who holds a grudge, this is shown when she rejects Fuutarou Uesugi's teaching, in part, due to their previous dispute. She is also someone who cannot be honest with herself and has a hard time being more direct. Both of these qualities often cause her to struggle alone. Itsuki is often too precise in timing the cooking of food. Itsuki can sometimes be a crybaby, whether it's because of unfavorable situations, scary things, or her stubborn nature. Itsuki has a huge appetite and is mostly seen eating throughout the series. He doesn't seem to mind treating his sisters unfairly when it comes to things related to food. When Itsuki proposes sharing his cakes, Ichika suspects that his real goal is to try all the flavors. Itsuki worries about Fuutarou, but it's actually because he's hungry.

Nino Nakano:

The second sister of the Nakano Quintuplets. She usually acts as the mother of the family, cooking for them and taking care of their medical needs. Among the five sisters, she is the one with the most hostility towards Fuutarou Uesugi and often rebels against him early in the series. Nino is a cute and cold-looking girl with waist-length straight hair (however, it is later cut to shoulder-length in Vol. 4 Ch. 46 and shown in Vol. 5 Ch. 47), and with square bangs hanging over her eyebrows. She has reddish-pink hair, which ranges from light pink to telemagenta in Volume 1 and antique pink to red-violet in Volume 4. Her notable accessories are twin butterfly-shaped ribbons on both sides of her head. Like her sisters, she has dark blue eyes, an average height, and an excellent figure. She wears a long-sleeved sweater that covers her uniform and a pair of white socks that cover up to her thigh. She wears contact lenses to address her poor eyesight. Both she and Ichika carry a handbag. She is known to be the most fashionable girl among the sisters, as she has several cute accessories and takes care of her nails. Nino has a bunny-shaped phone case. Nino is shown to be able to cook, and makes cookies with cute designs. She also has cute oven mitts. Personality: Nino has an outgoing and social personality, which causes her to have many friends, noted by Yotsuba who calls her a "social butterfly". Ichika comments that she is the most delicate among the sisters. Nino has a sharp tongue and speaks bluntly when confronted by others, even her sisters. Her rebellious attitude makes her the least cooperative girl among the sisters. Despite her cold and rude front, Nino is caring and protective. It is also evident by her willingness to act as the family's cook, ignoring her care towards her own appearance.

Ichika Nakano:

Ichika is a playful girl with very short hair that has a single long lock on the right side. She has a white-pink/light pink hair color, which ranges from oyster pink to a light pink shade in Volume 1, and from oyster white to a light pink shade in Volume 4. Her notable accessory is a single earring. Like her sisters, she has dark blue eyes, an average height, and a good figure. A stall owner praises Ichika for her cuteness, but does not praise Itsuki who was beside her. Ichika wears her school uniform with a thin jacket tied around her waist, sometimes with the top unbuttoned, revealing her cleavage. Ichika, like Nino, carries a handbag. Ichika is often sleepy and likes to fall asleep. Her room is usually messy and disorganized, she also has adult women's clothing, including a sexy outfit. Ichika sleeps naked when she is sleepy, even when she sleeps next to her sister. Yotsuba often cleans Ichika's room. Ichika wants to buy adult underwear and asks Yotsuba to try it on. Ichika acts as the eldest sister of the Nakano Quintuplets, as she possesses a calm and collected demeanor. Fuutarou noticed that her smile is fake and encouraged her to keep that kind of smile. Ichika initially had a pessimistic attitude towards the sisters' learning capabilities, making her one of the obstacles to Fuutarou's tutoring lessons early in the story. After being inspired by Fuutarou, she began to change her mind and started studying with him. Fuutarou also helped her patch things up with her sisters, causing the Quituplets to grow closer. Ichika notices Miku trying to understand Fuutarou's taste. Despite her smug expression and teasing demeanor, Ichika is shown to have a soft spot for romantic moments that happen to her.

Miku Nakano:

Miku is a girl who is usually shown to be emotionless, with medium-length reddish-brown hair that has strands of hair hanging over the right side of her face (ranging from light pink to antique pink in Volume 1, and pearl pink to beige brown in Volume 4). Her notable accessory is a set of wireless headphones that has a triangle-shaped logo on the earcups (Audio-Technica). Like her sisters, she has dark blue eyes, an average height, and a good figure. Miku usually wears a long-sleeved sweater that covers her uniform. She also wears black tights and places headphones around her neck. Most of the time, she has part of her bangs covering her right eye. Miku has a Japanese-themed room. It is noticeable that Miku has little sense of modesty and cares even less about her appearance. Miku is a quiet and reserved girl who has a pessimistic way of thinking and is low on confidence, even to the point of looking down on herself. Fuutarou notes that Miku has no faith in herself. Unlike her reserved self, she can speak in a straightforward manner and does not hesitate to confront others. Miku has an obsession with the generals of the Sengoku period. She is heavily influenced by their philosophies, to the point of affecting her behavior in real life. Miku hides this fact from everyone and is embarrassed when Fuutarou finds out. Among the Sengoku generals, the one Miku likes the most is Takeda Shingen. This is hinted at many times throughout the series. She sets Takeda's logo as her phone's wallpaper. She often quotes verses from Fūrinkazan, which was the war flag used by Takeda Shingen. When Fuutarou challenged Miku to a duel of historical knowledge, Miku is portrayed wearing armor identical to Takeda Shingen's.

Fourth grade Nakano:

Yotsuba has short, straight hair that stops just around her neck. She is depicted with a light orange color throughout Volume 1 to Volume 4. Her notable accessory is a rabbit ear-shaped headband, which can change shape depending on her emotions. Like her sisters, she has dark blue eyes, average height and a good figure. Yotsuba wears her uniform with a large butterfly-shaped tie and a sports bag. Ichika reveals that she is still wearing her panties from elementary school. She wears small shaped pajamas. Yotsuba is an active, cheerful, and easy-going girl. She speaks in a loud, spontaneous, and sometimes absent-minded manner. She is the type of person who can't say no to people who need help, and is mostly seen helping people, either directly or indirectly. While cheerful on the outside and towards others, Yotsuba also harbors feelings of inferiority towards her sisters and their own abilities. Her inferiority complex began to grow when she first met Fuutarou when they were children, and she caught him talking to his sister all the time upon realizing that he didn't know she wasn't her. She had made several attempts to fix her complex, which in turn made her desire to be different from her sisters grow stronger. While she was portrayed as a bad liar early on, she is later shown to have some skill at lying to herself; being able to hide her true identity from Fuutarou all the time and being able to maintain their relationship, at least when they are together. Yotsuba is good at sports, the basketball club even asking her to join the team. Yotsuba's excellent sporting ability is shown, scoring in 7.9 seconds for a 50m sprint. Yotsuba is praised as an expert player by a member of the basketball club. She also has excellent stamina and is a good runner.
