Katsuki Bakugou

Description

Katsuki is a rude, arrogant, short-tempered, and aggressive person, especially early in the series. Katsuki often comes across as an anti-hero; this problematic behavior dates back to his early childhood days, when he was known for bullying Izuku Midoriya, a young man with no special abilities. He has shown to be extremely arrogant and condescending towards those around him, frequently boasting about the power of his explosive Quirk, and even boasting about taking on his entire high school class. He has shown open hostility towards Izuku, mainly because of his former "Quirkless" status, and has often belittled his dream of becoming a hero despite not having a Quirk, and has also given him the insulting nickname "Deku" (meaning useless and incapable of doing anything). He even threatened Izuku into not enrolling at U.A. High School and became angry when they both passed the Entrance Exam, wanting to be the only person from his high school to make it there. However, after being accepted into UA and experiencing several personal setbacks, including some caused by Izuku, Katsuki gradually transformed into a less antagonistic person, although he still retains many of his unpleasant traits. Although often portrayed in a negative light, Katsuki's fierce character and competitive determination make him an important role among Class 1-A, as a sort of inspiring team cheerleader. Determined and thirsty for victory, Katsuki smiles eerily when in the middle of a battle. And he is extremely focused on achieving his own authentic victories and has learned to never underestimate his opponents. Katsuki is not only very athletic and talented in combat, but he is also very intelligent and extremely perceptive, capable of strategic planning and improvisation.

Lasts

His hero costume consists of a tight-fitting black tank top with an orange "X" in the middle, forming a V-neck. Along the left line of the collar are two dots indicating the support company that designed his costume. His costume also has a metal neck guard with rectangular ends that have three holes on each side. His sleeves extend from inside his large grenade-like gauntlets to his biceps. His belt, which also carries grenades, holds up his baggy pants with knee protectors, below which he wears black knee-high combat boots with orange soles and eyelets. His mask is jagged and black, and as it passes over his eyes, a large flame shape with an orange outline stands out on each side.

Appearance

Katsuki is a young man of average height, with a slim, muscular build, and fair skin tone. He has short, spiky, sandy-blond hair with uneven bangs that fall over his eyebrows. His eyes are sharp and bright red. At school, he wears the standard UA uniform without the usual red tie. Underneath the blazer, he wears a white collared shirt with a few buttons undone. His pants are worn loosely, causing them to fall to his ankles, though he wears a belt with them. After the Paranormal Liberation War, Katsuki's school uniform is worn more tidy and includes the red tie that he previously did not wear.
