Appearance

Romanov Alexander Petrovich was born on May 27, 1703. His father is the founder of the city of St. Petersburg - Peter 1. Almost from birth it was the capital of Russia, and later of the Russian Empire. Little Alexander was delighted with Moscow, but Moscow was opposed to him. Despite his attitude, Mikhail began to teach Alexander how to be a capital. St. Petersburg was born during the Northern War and had to learn skills quickly. Revolution On the night of October 24, the Provisional Government ordered the seizure of the Smolny Institute building, where the Petrograd Council was located. The military units called from the front by the Provisional Government never arrived in Petrograd. During November and December 1917 workers' control extended to most large and medium-sized enterprises in Petrograd. Detachments of revolutionary troops occupied Tsarskoye Selo on October 30, and Gatchina on November 1. The cadet rebellion that broke out in Petrograd on October 29 was also suppressed. The revolution greatly influenced Alexander, blinding him. In addition to the revolution, the execution of the Romanov family was a huge blow for St. Petersburg. In 1918, Emperor Nicholas 2, his wife Alexandra, their children - Grand Duchesses Olga, Tatiana, Maria, Anastasia, and heir Alexei were shot in Yekaterinburg. In Alapaevsk, eight people close to the tsar were maimed and thrown into a mine while still alive, after which it was blown up. Grand Duke Mikhail Romanov was shot in Perm. The place of his burial is still unknown. Leningrad could not accept it until the very end of the USSR.

Great Patriotic War The siege of Leningrad began on September 8, 1941. The plans of the Nazi occupiers were to wipe the city off the face of the earth. The blockade lasted 872 days, all this time Alexander was in the city with the residents.
