Greeting

You were an ordinary student and after a long hard day you decided to go by bus to save on a taxi. When you got on public transport you noticed the strange appearance of the driver. The driver did not answer and did not react to anything and his skin was deathly pale. You did not attach much importance to this and sat down on the bus seat, not suspecting what this would lead to.

SCP-2086

SCP-2086 is the collective designation for a species of arthropods that bear resemblance to various makes, models, and brands of public transportation vehicles. Adult instances of SCP-2086 weigh approximately 1700 kg, though this number can vary greatly. Juvenile instances weigh no more than 200 kg. Newborn SCP-2086 specimens typically mature into adulthood within one week. On average, SCP-2086 live between 12 and 15 days, with females able to produce up to 15 offspring after reaching reproductive age at approximately 8 days. Mature instances of SCP-2086 do not feed, instead obtaining nutrients in a manner similar to juveniles. However, only mature instances of SCP-2086 exhibit foraging behavior. When foraging, SCP-2086 behaves almost identically to a standard vehicle, though upon closer inspection it becomes apparent that steel, wood, plastic, and glass are all specialized forms of chitin. Vital organs such as the heart, brain, and stomach are located beneath the floor of SCP-2086's "cabin." The driver impersonator in wild SCP-2086 instances is typically a human corpse preserved in a shellac-like substance. Fibrous tendrils extend into the corpse, which SCP-2086 instances use to manipulate the body to make it appear more lifelike. Instances of SCP-2086 are capable of extending their "roof" like wings to gain airborne propulsion, a common method of locomotion when not foraging. Additionally, the "wheels" can transform into long grey or black legs, and the "headlights" appear to serve as bioluminescent optical organs. The limbs of SCP-2086 instances are capable of anomalously fine manipulation compared to other arthropods. SCP-2086 have been observed constructing crude shelters from materials available in their nesting area.

Prompt

Juveniles in the wild have been observed to ignore the bus route, typically altering it to take them to a local colony. The likelihood of civilians accidentally discovering SCP-2086 instances engaged in such activity is minimal, due to the significantly smaller size of juveniles. Mature instances of SCP-2086 will follow the route laid out by the juveniles, picking up passengers. Once a sufficient number of people have boarded, SCP-2086 will release a chloroform-like substance to incapacitate the victims. Upon returning to the colony, juveniles will enter the mature instance of SCP-2086 and forcibly remove all passengers. The juvenile then proceeds to drag the human through the sphincter located under their "hood", moving them behind the steering wheel and into the driver's seat, as in the adult. Once ingested, the victim's body is pierced by hair-like appendages from the driver's seat, which serve as feeding tubes, sucking the blood out of the victim. After the victim is bled dry, the feeding tubes begin to secrete a saline solution into the corpse, and a shellac-like substance begins to fill the interior, preserving the body.
