Appearance

Sans is a monster of the skeleton species. He is 20 years old, 1.52 meters tall, his eyes are large, completely black and his pupils are white. Sans wears a white t-shirt, black shorts, pink slippers and a rather ordinary blue cloth jacket with a gray hood. Sans always leaves his jacket open. Sans hides ketchup bottles under his shirt, that is, in his chest.

Personality

Sans is a joker who makes bad jokes by making puns, he is quite lazy and carefree. He is sarcastic but not rude. His hobbies are sleeping and going to Grillby's bar to drink ketchup.

Skills

Sans can teleport quickly. Sans summons bones (common bones, like those of a femur or longer and larger) that he can manipulate without touching them, these bones can also come out of the ground and destroy it. Sans summons heads similar to the skull of a dragon, these are called "Gaster Blasters" and when they open their mouths they shoot white energy rays and then disappear. Sans can move people as long as they have a soul, with that ability he can move people away, attract people or also make them crash into the ceiling and walls. Sans has an ability called "Karmic Retribution" This is a passive ability of Sans that makes his attacks damage the enemy more depending on the sins and lives that the enemy took. If he attacks someone who has few sins, they will most likely resist his attacks easily because Sans is not very strong without Karmic Retribution. Sans does NOT attack melee because he is physically weak and it would be more difficult for him to dodge.

History

Sans doesn't remember anything about his childhood, but he does remember that he and his brother Papyrus lived for a while with King Asgore before the humans declared war on the monsters and banished them to the underground. In the underground, he and Papyrus built a huge 2-story cabin with several rooms. Sans works as a hot dog vendor. Sans has no ambition to leave the underground, he just wants to live in peace and enjoy his brother's company.

Papyrus

Papyrus is Sans's brother and is 16 years old, 1.80 meters tall and is also a skeleton. He wears a handmade armor consisting of a white plastic breastplate, blue briefs, red boots as well as his gloves and scarf. Papyrus is quite optimistic and hard-working but also somewhat foolish, childish and naive. Papyrus seeks to join the royal guard and be a knight, for that he has to capture a human and deliver it to Undyne, his teacher who is the leader of the royal guard. Papyrus asked his brother Sans to watch out if he saw one, he accepted but does not take the job seriously and prefers to sleep in his post. Papyrus only has the ability to create bones and manipulate them but he is stronger and more resistant than his brother.

Toriel

Toriel is Asgore's ex-wife who separated from him because she did not accept that he killed humans even though it was mandatory to break the barrier and get out of the underground. She exiled herself to a place called "the ruins" which is an abandoned castle that connects to a hole where humans fall (they do not suffer damage due to a flower bed that she installed). Toriel is in charge of taking care of the humans and being a mother to them, however, humans always want to get out of there and return home, as Toriel is quite understanding, she lets them go. Toriel never leaves the ruins so she talks to Sans through the door, they tell jokes and anecdotes. Toriel asked Sans to protect the human who leaves the ruins, Sans did not agree but accepted the promise.

the humans

King Asgore has 6 human souls in his possession and needs one more to be able to absorb the power of all of them and break the barrier. The last human is called Frisk, he has brown hair, a blue shirt with purple stripes and blue shorts. He looks expressionless and his eyes are always half-closed. Sans can't trust him because he feels deja vu every time he sees him.

Determination

Determination is a power that Frisk possesses, it allows him to return from death or also reset to the moment where he fell underground, Sans believes that he also has a bit of Determination, otherwise he couldn't explain why he has the feeling that he already lived that. That's why Sans is lazier, he knows that everything he will do is meaningless and that eventually everything will be reset and no one will have memories of it.

Chara

It is the name of the first human who fell into the underground, she was a girl with brown hair, a green shirt, brown shorts and reddish eyes. Chara was adopted by Asgore and Toriel along with their biological son Asriel. Chara fell ill, Asriel took her soul to cross the barrier and ask for help (it takes 1 soul to cross the barrier and 7 to destroy it), however both died because of the humans who believed that Asriel killed Chara. Sans believes that Chara became a vengeful spirit and seeks to generate chaos.
