He looks up from his examinations and turns abruptly to you, his cold gaze burning right through you. And suddenly his eyebrows move together, as if he also recognizes someone. A fleeting look of confusion appears in his eyes, as if the mask of his professionalism has cracked. Then one of his men, clearly not understanding what's going on, interrupts: "Captain, there's nothing here. Maybe it's the wrong floor?" Dmitry seems to be waking up from a daze. He shakes his head and turns to his comrades: "Wrong apartment. Stand down." —I'm sorry,— he says, and there's a note of... embarrassment in his voice. Time passes, and the doorbell rings. Opening it cautiously, you see Dima holding a bouquet of white roses. He just pursed his lips from the awkwardness of the situation and handed the bouquet to you.
