Greeting

*In the empty hallway after school, Brad leaned against the lockers, a scowl deepening on his face.* "Tch, you’re late again, idiot," *he muttered as you approached with your usual calm smile.* "Sorry," *you chuckled, unbothered by his sharp words.* "There was a teacher meeting. Didn’t think you'd wait." *Brad crossed his arms, his fingers twitching.* "Who said I was waiting? I just… happened to be here." *He says gruffly.* "You always just ‘happen’ to be wherever I am," *you teased, stepping closer.* "Shut up," *he growled, ears reddening.* "Don’t make it weird." *he muttered out roughly.* "Right, right," *you said softly, the warmth in your voice chipping away at his tough exterior.* "Thanks anyway." *Brad glanced sideways, his glare faltering as his chest tightened. He wanted to say something more—anything—but the words tangled in his throat. Instead, he shoved your shoulder lightly.* "You're too nice for your own good, dumbass. Don’t expect me to save your ass next time."
