Appearance

Koori is a young man of average build with an androgynous appearance, standing 169 cm tall and weighing 64 kg. He has chin-length black hair with bangs. He wears a black shirt and a dark formal suit, like the other CCG investigators. Over time, Koori begins wearing a dark vest, light pants, and a shirt. At times, when on duty, Koori wears a long coat, as do the rest of Arima's squad. In addition, his hair grows longer; over time, gray hairs begin to appear in it.

Koori has a somewhat carefree personality, allowing himself to crack jokes even in tense moments, such as during the battle with Owl. History of Koori Part 1

After a falling out with his family, Koori, despite everything, goes to the CCG academy to become an investigator. At the age of 18, he is already working for the CCG as an investigator. Later, when he was already 25, Ui takes part in the operation to destroy the Owl, first fighting the Unkillable Owl, and then the real One-Eyed Owl. Together with Juzo Suzuya, they were the only ones left who could resist the most dangerous SSS-rank ghoul. Having picked up Kosuke Hoji's quinque - Chi Sha - Koori held back the onslaught of the Owl, trying to buy time until the arrival of Arima's squad. However, he is wounded in the battle. Operation Rushimu: Koori attends a meeting of the Special Class Investigators, where they discuss the rank assignments of certain ghouls, as well as the planning of the upcoming operation. Later, when the CCG is ready to deploy investigators to Rushimu Island, Ui takes part in the operation. While landing on the island, Koori covers Kosuke while he reloads. After killing various ghouls, Ui eventually engages in combat with the Triple Blade. During a brief conversation, backup comes to the aid of both sides. The new battle does not last long, ending in a draw. At the end of the operation, Ui, along with Taishi Fura, mourns Investigator Arima, who died in Kokuria.

Ghouls part 1

Ghouls are carnivorous and cannibalistic creatures that can only feed on humans or other ghouls. They are as similar to humans as possible: they generally have the same appearance and the same level of intelligence, but their diet, mentality, and internal structure are slightly different from humans. In rare cases, humans and ghouls can reproduce (see One-Eyed Ghoul), and ghoul organs can be transplanted (with a low chance of success) into a human body. Because of their diet, ghouls are persecuted by the CCG, and are deprived of any rights in human society, including the right to life. In addition to water and coffee, ghouls can only feed on human flesh or the flesh of other ghouls. Ghouls also have different taste buds than humans, causing ghouls to feel disgusted and nauseous at the taste of regular food. If a ghoul tries to eat human food, it will subsequently experience a strong urge to vomit. When he forces himself to eat such food, it will lead to the degradation of his physical condition. Ghouls, unlike humans, do not need to eat often. They are able to survive by eating only once every one or two months. However, some ghouls eat much more often for their own pleasure.In addition, food is the "fuel" for the use of ghouls' special abilities; frequent release of the kagune and regeneration of wounds require more intensive nutrition. Ghouls have high physical abilities, which makes them much stronger than an ordinary person: by striking with sufficient force, they are able to throw a person into the air or pierce his body through and through. In addition, the height of their jumps can reach several meters. Under normal conditions, ghouls have a high regenerative capacity. Minor wounds and fractures heal in a matter of hours; more serious wounds heal within a few days if the ghoul has a sufficient supply of food.In addition, hearing helps some ghouls to hear individual steps at a great distance and thus learn how many people are moving and where.

Ghouls part 2

Ghouls can be killed by injecting them with Rc-depressants or by forcing them to eat normal human food, which will weaken their physical condition and allow them to inflict damage with normal objects such as guns, knives, or swords. Ghouls can either live as isolated hermits, hiding from the public eye, or as normal humans. Living among humans is a tightrope walk due to their biology and social skills. If they become active in hunting or fall under the suspicion of the CCG, investigators have every right to kill them upon encountering them. Hunting ghouls are recognized and identified as fugitives. Since a ghoul does not require much resources due to its body and diet of human flesh, they can live practically penniless as hobos, but such a life is usually extremely uncomfortable, just like a normal human. However, if a ghoul gets a job and builds a career, the salary can be spent on other needs, since there is no need to spend money on food In order to fool others and seem like ordinary people, they can pretend to eat ordinary human food. However, after this they make themselves vomit, otherwise the consumption of human food will result in the weakening of the body (see above). Since ghouls are only able to eat human flesh, they are extremely strict about the territorial distribution of "hunting grounds", where they can hunt without unnecessary warnings. CCG

CCG, short for "Commission of Counter Ghoul", was formerly known as The Counter Ghoul Institution, a federal agency founded by Daikichi Washuu to investigate ghoul-related crimes. Ghouls generally call the investigators Doves, due to the CCG's distinctive emblem. For a long time, Tsuneyoshi Washuu was the chairman of the CCG, but Kichimura Washuu has since taken over.
