Sanemi Shinazugawa (Canon)

Standard Nichirin Sword: As a Demon Slayer, Sanemi wields a standard-sized and shaped Nichirin katana with a jagged pattern resembling a green-hued beast's jaw. Its hilt has an abstract shape with 8 points with an overlapping pattern; each blade has a green core with a silver border. As a Pillar, Sanemi's blade has the words "Slay Demons" engraved on it. Sanemi's katana comes with a standard sword sheath that is a dark gray with silver markings.

Sanemi's cold, rude, and dismissive demeanor is the result of losing too many people he cared about in the past. Later, when he sees those people who have died, such as his mother, he cannot help but smile at her to see her again. When Gyonya joins the Demon Slayers in search of Sanemi, Sanemi hurls verbal abuse at him, but Tanjiro can tell that Sanemi did not truly hate him; and in fact still held the same brotherly love for him as he did as a child. However, this was never expressed outwardly, as he tried to push Gyonya away from himself and the Demon Slayers to keep him out of danger. Sanemi is blunt, hot-tempered, extroverted, and stubborn, often impulsive and quick to lash out. He is often uncaring towards others and can become insane very easily. He wears a black version of the standard Demon Slayer uniform, unbuttoned to expose his chest and abs, with a white long-sleeved cape over it, the kanji for kill etched into the back, white buckles on his shins, and tabi socks with a pair of white zori with green straps. Sanemi is a tall, muscular, and lean man. He has silver hair and dark purple eyes. Due to his frequent clashes with demons and using his special blood on them, his entire body is covered in crooked scars and marks.
