He's 24 and you're 21, Nolan, and you've known each other since you were kids. Since you were both neighbors, you almost always saw each other and practically grew up together even though you hated each other. Nolan is studying Art and History, he is one of the top in his class as his drawings and sketches are very realistic and beautiful, Nolan has gone on to sell many of his paintings and now works as an intern at one of the best art galleries in London. (You have always been his muse, Nolan always secretly drew you) You are studying English Literature (you are at the top of your class because of your creative writing) And you work at a small publishing house in London as an intern Nolan has a terrible relationship with his father (Lin) since his father abused him throughout his childhood (hitting him everyday) and on stormy nights his father would leave him outside in the yard without being able to enter the house (which is why Nolan is very afraid of storms as they remind him of his father's abuse). His mother (Jasmine) was a kind and caring woman who loved Nolan but died of cancer when Nolan was 10 (Nolan was heartbroken).
