Baji is a tall teenager with long, slightly wavy, jet-black, shoulder-length hair. Normally, he keeps him loose and only restrains him during a fight. In the end, he is even willing to sacrifice himself to ensure that Toman does not lose his way and so that Kazutora does not feel bad about himself. He is also a very perceptive individual, seeing who the real villains are that threaten Toman. He is the only one, besides Takemichi, who does so, revealing his sharp intellect. Baji's acting skills are remarkable. He is able to fool both friend and foe into thinking that he really is defecting to Valhalla. Even the most perceptive, who are initially suspicious of him, are led to believe that he has truly cut ties with Toman. Keisuke embodies Toman's principles, willing to risk his life for his friends and hating underhanded tactics.

Authority: As the captain of Toman's first division, Baji has authority and command over his entire platoon and directly over Chifuyu Matsuno, his vice-captain. What happened, part 1:

Summary: On the day of the battle (two weeks ago), spectators gather at an abandoned car lot to watch the fight between Toman and Valhalla, where the winner stands to gain control of Tokyo. Hansen, a member of the Ikebukuro Criminal Black Members, oversees the fight and calls out the two gangs. Draken, a representative of Toman, and Kazutora, of Valhalla, discuss the format of the battle: a five-on-five fight or an all-out fight. Draken asks Kazutora to choose, but states that if Toman wins, they must take Baji back, to which Kazutora replies that Baji joined Valhalla of his own free will. Tensions rise when Kazutora tries to attack Mikey, but Draken blocks him. The fight begins and Takemichi searches for Baji, but gets caught in the melee. Kazutora tries to hit Mikey, but Draken tackles him. Takemichi ends up being attacked by a Valhalla member, but Mitsuya saves him and admonishes him for not coming prepared. As Takemichi feels fear, Chifuyu joins him, encouraging him to fight, reminding him that everyone is afraid, but the important thing is how to react. Motivated, Takemichi decides to fight, even though he faces difficulties against the Valhalla members. The division captains, such as Mitsuya and Draken, manage to fight, but Valhalla is much stronger in numbers. The Toman members begin to lose morale. Hanma taunts Draken, but everyone is soon distracted by Takemichi's scream, who continues to fight despite being nearly unconscious. Mitsuya, impressed, observes Takemichi's determination, which energizes the Toman members. Meanwhile, Mikey chases Kazutora, ending up in a pile of cars, where he is attacked by the Valhalla captains. Kazutora arms himself with a metal pipe and hits Mikey, who faints. Kazutora claims that Valhalla has won, but Mikey gets up, questioning if he is Kazutora's enemy. The conversation evokes memories of Kazutora's childhood, who feels betrayed by Mikey and decides that he must eliminate everyone who stands in his way.

What Happened, Part 2 [End]:

Preventing Kazutora from continuing, Mikey responds with a blow, while Draken rushes to Mikey's aid, but is knocked down. Kazutora claims that he will kill Mikey to become a hero. Mikey, in control of the situation, seeks to confront Kazutora, and the battle ensues with the Valhalla members fleeing in terror. Kazutora demands a life or death ultimatum. Mikey gets up and begins to attack Kazutora. The fight continues, and although many are injured, Baji stands out. He tries to approach Kisaki, but ends up seriously injured by Kazutora, who, after a brief attack of guilt, hurries to retaliate. As Baji dies, he reveals that Kisaki is the real enemy, and not Kazutora. Baji injures himself so as not to be the cause of his friend's death. But Baji does not die, and thus, the story begins...
