is the Saint of the constellation

June (ジュネ, June) is the Saint of the Chamaeleon constellation in the 20th century (1990) and is part of the Bronze Saints, the warriors who hold the lowest rank within the army of the goddess Athena. Like Shun, she trained on Andromeda Island under the supervision of Master Daidalos. According to the rule of female Saints, she normally wears a mask, but in order to stop Shun, who was trying to travel to the Sanctuary, she breaks said rule and takes it off, revealing her face. The fact that she showed her face in front of him seems to indicate that she had special concern and feelings for Shun.

Appearance June is a young and attractive woman, with a slender and well-proportioned figure. She has long blonde hair, which she holds back with the headband of her armor and lets fall down her back. Being a female Saint, she usually wears a mask covering her face, but when she takes it off you can see that she has a beautiful face and a pair of sky-blue eyes. Although the fact that she presents herself with a whip in her hand could suggest that she is a fearsome person, she is actually kind and gentle in nature, especially towards Shun. Within the Saint Seiya universe, she stands out as one of the most beautiful women. When she appeared before Shun, she was wearing the Chamaeleon Cloth. During her training on Andromeda Island, she can be seen wearing a suit consisting of a black leotard (pink in the anime), with leather protections for the knees and chest area.

Personality June, despite having a strong character, is quite kind-hearted. She also shows a special affection for Shun, her training partner on Andromeda Island, to the point that she traveled to Japan to prevent him from going to fight against the Sanctuary, since the idea of Shun losing his life in that battle causes her great dismay.

Training Little is known about June's past and how she became Daidalos' apprentice. All that is known is that she was training under Daidalos' supervision on Andromeda Island in order to become a Saint. They were later joined by a young boy named Shun, who was sent to the island to become a Saint. During their time training together, June came to know and appreciate Shun, and provided him with support and protection. On one occasion, Shun fainted due to the harsh training Daidalos was putting him through, and June intervened to reprimand her master for the unfair and dangerous treatment he was giving him, stating that continuing with this training could kill him. After that, June took Shun to the small cabin where they lived and there she took care of him until he regained consciousness. Upon awakening, Shun and June began to talk about what had happened. June asked Shun to abandon the training because he was not fit to be a Saint, because he did not like to fight and did not want to hurt anyone; and the Saints had to fight to protect the goddess Athena. However, Shun wanted to become a Saint to honor his brother, who sacrificed himself for him and was sent to a place comparable to hell to train. Therefore, he could not give up, because although the training was difficult, thanks to his brother's sacrifice, he arrived at this place where he had June and Master Daidalos at his side [1] [2]. Shortly after, Shun would ask his master to allow him to undergo the test of sacrifice in order to prove that he was ready to become a Saint and obtain the Andromeda Cloth. This is how Shun would be tied to a rock with chains and would have to free himself before the sea rose and he would end up drowning.

June arrives at the place where Daidalos is observing the test and complains to her master for allowing Shun to undergo it, to which he explained that it was Shun who requested it. At that moment, June and Daidalos see how Shun is swallowed by the sea, which worries both of them. However, before they could try to help him, a whirlpool formed in the sea and the waters began to divide, since Shun had freed himself from the chains and his powerful cosmos had split the sea, thus passing the test to become a Bronze Saint. Shun would meet with his master one last time to talk, and in the middle of that conversation, he would reveal to him that he had awakened his cosmos during his training, but had not shown it to him before. Therefore, he decides to show his master what his true power was before leaving. After this, June arrives at the place where they are to inform Shun that the ship that will take him back to Japan has arrived, so she accompanies him to say goodbye. However, when they both leave, the Cloth that Daidalos was carrying is completely destroyed due to Shun's power, which leaves Daidalos impressed [1][2]. Battle against the Sanctuary A few weeks after Shun left the island, the Bronze Saints, along with Saori, decided to go to the Sanctuary to confront the false Pope. Before Shun set out on the journey, June appeared before him as he was getting ready in his room and began to attack him with her whip, stating that she would not allow him to go to the Sanctuary. Surprised, Shun asked her if she had been sent by the Pope, to which she replied that she was there by her own decision, as she considered that a group of Bronze Saints like them had no chance of succeeding in that battle. At that moment, June took off her mask and immediately threw herself at him while telling him that she did not want him to die.

June then revealed to Shun that her master Daidalos had been killed by Aphrodite, a Gold Saint sent by the Pope, telling him that if his powerful master had no chance against such an adversary, he couldn't beat them either and would only be heading to certain death. Despite his friend's tears and pleas, Shun punched her in the stomach to knock her unconscious, making it clear that he had already made up his mind to go into battle. Furthermore, now that he had discovered who killed his master, he was determined to avenge him [1][2]. After finishing getting ready, Shun retreated, taking an unconscious June with him. Upon reaching the place where his companions were waiting for him, he asked Saori if she could allow June to stay in the mansion until they returned, to which she agreed.

Skills As a Saint he can control the energy known as cosmos. As a Bronze Saint, he has the ability to travel and fight at speeds generally ranging from Mach 1 (343 m/s)[7][8]. The Chamaeleon Cloth he wears belongs to the category of Bronze Cloths, which are the weakest protections within Athena's army. However, these armors are still powerful enough to withstand attacks with superhuman strength and the ability to destroy the atoms of matter [9][10]. In addition, it provides protection that allows it to withstand extremely low temperatures of up to -150°C [11][12]. Cloths can also grant greater power to their user as their cosmos increases.[13][14] If the will of the Cloth matches that of the user, the greater their cosmos of justice, the greater the power it will grant them.[15] The Saints have the power to tear the sky with their fists and split the earth with their kicks[9][16].

June met Shun when he arrived at Andromeda Island. During the five years he was training there, she was by his side, providing constant support and caring for him when he was injured or exhausted from training. During that time, she got to know Shun and understood how kind he was, as well as his aversion to fighting. And when he underwent the test of sacrifice, June was worried and even berated her master for allowing her to undergo the test. However, in the end, she, along with Daidalos, watches in amazement as Shun manages to pass the test and thus become a Saint. Thus, when Shun leaves the island, she accompanies him to his ship. Later, June would head to Japan to inform Shun about his master's death at the hands of a Gold Saint. At this time, she once again demonstrated the deep affection she feels for Shun, being dismayed for his well-being and fearful of him participating in the battle against the Sanctuary, believing he might lose his life. Furthermore, she goes so far as to remove her mask and reveal her face in front of him, breaking the rule of female Saints, to beg him not to join that battle. The fact that she showed her face to Shun can be interpreted as a declaration of love on her part. Saints are forbidden to show their face to a man, since if a man sees their face, they would have to either kill or love that man. Therefore, by showing her face in front of him, it was to show that she loved him and wanted him to stay by her side, instead of going into battle.

Daidalos of Cepheus Both June and Shun trained for five years under Daidalos. During that time, it could be seen that they respected their master, and in turn, he was also respectful towards them. Later, June would watch as her master died in a battle against Aphrodite, who was sent by the Sanctuary to punish him for his rebellion. After that, she would travel to Japan to inform Shun of what happened and try to prevent him from going to fight against the Sanctuary. The latter seems to indicate that, at least, June saw Daidalos as someone of great power, so seeing how he was easily defeated by his opponent made her believe that Shun would not stand a chance against them.
