Appearance

He is an anthropomorphic hedgehog with blue fur that covers most of his body. On the back of its head you can see six large and long needles. Sonic's eyes are of a normal shape with green irises, although originally, in his classic form, the blue hedgehog had black pupils, without a visible colored iris. The muzzle is a standard peach color, as is the skin inside the ears. The nose, like that of all representatives of its species, is medium-sized and black. Sonic's chest, stomach and arms, starting from the shoulder, are the same peach color as his muzzle. Like all hedgehogs like it, it also has two spines protruding from its shoulder blades and a small tail. Sonic wears white gloves and cuffs of the same color as his clothing. He has red boots with white straps running across the middle. There is a small square gold buckle at the end of the belt. Also on the sneakers you can see the same white cuffs as on the arms. Originally, the boots lacked a sole, which was replaced by a dark red bottom. However, starting with the game "Sonic Adventure", the shoes have a metal sole.[8]

Character 1

Sonic's most pronounced character trait is his love of freedom. He, like the wind, never stands still and is always in motion[30], following its own course[2]. A free spirit[31][32], he is eager to live and die by his own rules[30], and not for the sake of heroism and the opinions of others[33][34][2] and is always hungry for new adventures[35], because hates boredom and therefore strives to find them[30]. Born to run and love to cover large areas[30], Sonic has a passion for adventure and traveling around the world, as he believes that life should be exciting, because it is short and this is a reason to live it to the fullest while there is time[36]. In fact, the paths of his heart are in many ways similar to the Sun: the hedgehog runs and rests, and the Sun rises and sets[37]. Hedgehog also enjoys interacting with the many cultures present on the planet and enjoys trying regional cuisines, especially chili dogs, so he likes to call himself a connoisseur.[35] Gifted with a strong passion for enjoying life, he never stays in one place for long and always moves forward in search of a new challenge, viewing his life as an endless series of adventures.[2] Because of his need for freedom, the hedgehog hates the very idea of ​​restrictions; being cooped up or forced to stay in one place usually makes him very awkward and restless. However, by the time of the War to Retake the Planet, Sonic seemed to have somewhat overcome his madness, remaining calm and sarcastic even after being imprisoned for six months aboard the Death Egg. Needless to say, his main passion is speed and that's why he likes things that move quickly[38], if there's one thing he prefers to do slowly, it's vacations[39].

Character 2

Sonic's behavior regardless of the crisis, he is calm, carefree and frivolous in behavior [30][33][2]. At the same time, he never sits still, hates boredom, which is why he can become impulsive and hot-tempered, which leads to reckless actions. Due to this, he can rush into trouble without a second thought even despite warnings from others[40], which has even led Sonic himself to admit that his super speed has led to all sorts of shenanigans[41]. However, he is honest and always keeps his promises[2]. Sonic's character combines kindness and determination: He will never turn away if someone is in trouble and will do everything to destroy evil[6]. He is extremely benevolent, driven by his own strong sense of justice and fair play[30], driven to fight injustice in the name of the ideal of freedom rather than in the name of the law[42]. Sonic is also known for his fearlessness[43]. He noted that he would not give in to his principles out of fear, telling Zavok that no matter how many things he did, he would still give him trouble[44]. Likewise, Sonic always finds the truth[45], as he hates lies and injustice in all its forms[46], which is why he is willing to defend and fight for the underdog[30]. Selflessly, the hedgehog believes that people should ask what they can do for others, and not the other way around, and never asks for anything in return for his exploits. For him, smiles are all he needs[47]. At the same time, he views heroism as an opportunity to have fun, because he is a thrill-seeker. For him, saving the world is not a great feat, but just another exciting episode in his life[30]. When he finds himself in a difficult situation, he acts as if nothing can stop him[30], otherwise he is aggressive and intensely focuses on the task at hand, as if his personality has undergone a miraculous change.[33] The hedgehog has great self-confidence, because he firmly believes that as long as he is brave, he is capable of anything.

Character 3

In the Japanese versions of the media, Sonic often uses informal (if not rude) expressions, using "ore" when referring to himself or others ("ore" is a boastful way of saying "I" in Japanese). However, he sometimes uses more honorifics when communicating with loved ones or acquaintances. Sonic often makes jokes to lighten his mood and also finds opportunities to tease his opponents. Being smug, he has a habit of talking even to destroyed robots, which can make him embarrassed if he is caught doing so.[49] Also in keeping with his smugness and confidence, he often playfully pranks his enemies, for example during the War to Retake the Planet, he asked Infinite "optional" questions to understand the secret of his powers, what his favorite color is and his likes. whether it was long romantic walks on the beach, or when he asked a phantom copy of Zavok if he would let Sonic join the party taking place on the Death Egg, referring to the chaos, caused by the invasion of members of the Resistance unit. Most of all, the blue hedgehog values ​​his friends. He cares for them extremely [32] and treats everyone with due respect. While Sonic is ready to risk his life for the sake of his friends[40] and will never hurt them - in particular girls[69] - in return he will always accept help from them and show trust in them[70]. In doing so, he puts everyone on the same level as himself and shows no interest in treating anyone differently due to perceived superiority. Because of this, he may appear rude to authority figures by speaking to them informally, which often leads to trouble. Despite how many powerful opponents Sonic has faced, he rarely considers them to be true enemies; on the contrary, he tends to admire them for how strong they are and how much fun they can give him when fighting them.[75] However, whenever Sonic's anger explodes due to evil deeds, he always makes his enemy the target of this aggression [33][76]. His ability to forgive is also shown when he forgave Silver for trying to kill him twice and even working with him on a team, or Merlina for deceiving him and trying to take over Camelot.

Sonic has a clear dislike for his enemies calling him a rodent, causing him to correct them and state that his true species is a hedgehog. This was best demonstrated by his encounters with Erazor Djinn,[80] and, to a lesser extent, his second battle with Infinite in the Mysterious Jungle.[81] Also, when Blight called Sonic a key, he responded that it was a better nickname than a rodent[82].

Ability 1

Without a doubt, Sonic's calling card is his incredible speed, which has earned him the reputation of being the Fastest Entity Alive[83], if not the Fastest Being in the Universe[84]. Sonic is also able to gain high speed, thanks to his technique, which allows him to accelerate in place, and then rush forward or even break the sound barrier, which covers Sonic with a blue energy aura, allowing him to smash enemies, knock down obstacles and attract nearby rings[89]. He can also fly forward for a moment. Using special techniques, Sonic is even able to reach the speed of light.

Ability 2

Sonic has amazing kinetics and precision, with reaction times to match his speed. He possesses profound acrobatic skills and agility, as well as incredible reflexes that allow him to avoid any obstacles with precise and delicate movements. As seen in his first encounter with Silver, Sonic can even detect attacks outside of his field of vision thanks to his keen reflexes.[67] Once in the air, he can also perform several tricks before landing. He also has incredible jumping skills[95] and is capable of jumping several hundred meters even with added weight.[67] In addition to his speed, Sonic possesses noticeably high strength, allowing him to lift and push objects much larger and heavier than himself, punch through metal and rock, and deal damage to opponents countless times his size. Much of his strength lies in his legs, as thanks to them he can send badniks flying and was even able to knock down an Egg Golem with a kick from his legs[96]. But this does not mean that his arms are weak, as he is capable of tearing robots apart[88] and breaking through a collapsed wall[97]. It is not known for sure whether the latter's power comes from his speed, strength, or a combination of both. Sonic also demonstrated the ability to interact with the energy from the Chaos Emeralds, thanks to which he can use its powers and even receive enhancements.
