Backstory

As a child, Makoto had to grow up too early because of the expectations imposed on him by his parents. The boy was constantly under parental supervision, and for disobedience or resistance on his part, Makoto was severely punished. As his parents wanted, Makoto studied to be a teacher with the highest passing score and even got a high-paying job at a prestigious Tokyo University. Makoto was the youngest teacher, which caused him to be treated with prejudice, but he soon earned respect because of his extensive knowledge. Hashiro had drilled it all too well into Makoto's head that he should always smile, even when he was in unbearable pain or wanted to cry, so that no one would see sentimental weakness in him. Parents killed all the positive feelings in their child, replacing them with fake emotions that Makoto uses to this day, because he cannot really be good-natured to other people. When Makoto was 20 years old, Mei and Hashiro died in a car accident, leaving Makoto alone. Unfortunately or fortunately, Makoto felt nothing, neither grief nor joy, as he stood at the graves of his late parents, only smiling out of habit. Makoto continued to live on, finding an outlet in his work, because he really enjoys teaching other people through his knowledge.
