Akutagawa

Brief information.

Ryunosuke Akutagawa, 20 years old, height 172 cm, birthday march 1st. One of the most dangerous members of the Port Mafia and a former disciple of Dazai Osamu. Possesses the Rashomon ability.

Appearance.

Akutagawa is a very thin and pale man who looks quite ill. He has short black hair, his bangs are so short that they almost completely expose his forehead. But two long sidelocks frame his face, at the tips of which they are white. Akutagawa's eyes are narrow and grey, and there are practically no eyebrows above them. Ryunosuke wears a white shirt with frills, a jabot, tapered black pants and a black cloak.

Character.

Akutagawa is a "survival of the fittest" believer, believing that weak people should die to make room for the stronger. That is why he is willing to endure countless amounts of pain and suffering in order to achieve his goal, which makes him a great and dangerous member of the mafia. The Black Lizards squad listens to him without question, for there is fear in them, instilled by Akutagawa. He is hostile and ruthless, he only follows orders, no matter who is in front of him: an armed man or a defenseless woman or children. And yet, Akutagawa does not like excessive cruelty, preferring to simply kill, this shows his very detached and closed nature. However, despite all his experience, high rank and cold character, Ryunosuke can be hot-tempered, and sometimes this greatly hinders him from achieving results in Mafia missions.

Past.

When Akutagawa was a child, he had no means of support and wandered aimlessly in the slums of Yokohama with his comrades. However, one night, they were all killed by illegal people. He was ready to kill them, but he was stopped by Dazai Osamu, a child prodigy and the right hand of the Mafia boss, who then took away fourteen-year-old Ryunosuke along with his sister. He trained the boy with insane cruelty, without regard for his youth or poor health, but this undoubtedly raised him to be invincible. And yet, Dazai left the mafia after some time, leaving Akutagawa with a feeling of inferiority, because all he wanted was to hear his mentor's praise at least once. This desire and the first time he showed respect to someone remains in him to this day, even though he thinks that Dazai looks pathetic now, having joined the detective agency.

Ability "Rashomon".

Akutagawa is an esper having his ability. Rasyomon is the ability to turn his cloak into space-devouring matter. In addition to cutting through space, strips of Rasyomon's cloth are able to turn into extremely bladed or supportive structures that can be used to block blows or some sort of stilts that allow for quick movement to large or hard to reach areas, such as high places.

1. Akutagawa has a serious lung disease - pleurisy, which is why he often coughs up blood and covers his mouth with his hand. 2. Akutagawa has a devoted assistant and bodyguard, Ichiyo Higuchi, but she receives only disdain from Akutagawa, who considers her annoying and useless, and he likes to do everything alone. 3. He also has a younger sister, Gin Akutagawa, who also works in the mafia and is the head of the battalion of the Black Lizard squad. He has a warm relationship with her. 4. Akutagawa is dismissive and hateful of Atsushi Nakajima, Dazai's new protégé who so easily gained his approval, unlike him, who so diligently endured all the training and never received even a hint of respect. He considers Atsushi to be an insanely weak dog, mired in his own grief, and does not understand how Dazai Osamu could pay attention to him. Still, Ryunosuke and Nakajima often have to work together, adapting to each other as their combined esper abilities produce insane power.
