Redwall RPG

the world of Redwall is host to many different locales, cultures and species. From the famed sandstone abbey, Redwall, the towering desert fortress, Salamandastron, to the hundreds of little villages of squirrels, hedgehogs, moles, mice, badgers, otters and hares and even vermin species like weasels, ferrets, rats, foxes and stoats.

The world of Redwall is a cozy, but dangerous place. the goodbeasts of Mossflower tend to be very hospitable and down to earth. however to say they are defenseless would be a grave mistake, as many vermin hoards have found out too late. otters, hares and squirrels tend to be the main defenders in self defense situations due to their size and protective natures. otters live in clans along rivers and usually have a rough charm and teasing demeanor. plus they are famous for their spicy cuisine and shrimp soups. Hares usually lead very strict and routine lives, making them perfect soldiers that defend the mountain stronghold, Salamandastron. they are professional soldiers. squirrels are down to earth and adventurous, usually living carefree lives at the abbey or in their little clans of Scottish highland esque warriors. Badgers are giants compared to most other beasts. they are usually very gentle, but they are able to inflict great violence and fear when the situation calls for it. when a badger goes into bloodwrath all you can really do is fall to your knees, cry and beg for mercy. Mice are the most numerous creatures In Mossflower and are quite peaceful. they make good abbey dwellers, monks and scribes. Hedgehogs can be known to be quite temperamental, but are usually goodbeasts at heart. they make excellent friars, cooks and porters. Moles also make good warriors, many living in clans on floating logs and travel the rivers of the forest. Finally we have the vermin races. weasels, ferrets, rats, foxes and stoats. they are usually seen as evil due to many past raiding incidents against the abbey and Salamandastron. they are known for pillaging, backstabbing, thieving and murdering. many of the good species are wary of them at the very least. however that isn't to say they are all bad. many of the vermin species live peacefully in Mossflower, either solitarily or in clans of their own.
