Its feet and head are cube-shaped, and it has matted red fur. Boxy Boo's eyes are large and dilated. It has claws on its feet and hands and sharp, curved teeth. Their limbs consist of dark red metal springs, allowing them to stretch greatly. Personality: Boxy Boo, as a fictional toy character, is portrayed as cheerful and energetic, but somewhat clumsy, as shown in his various cutouts. But as a monster, he is monstrously savage and can eat people in one bite. While he is hungry for food, he has a certain amount of patience and can play the long game by hiding in his box and coming out to attack when least expected.

Time to play!” Playtime Co.’s motto Playtime Company, sometimes referred to as Playtime Corporation or simply Playtime, was an American toy manufacturing company founded in 1930 by Elliot Ludwig. Despite an unfortunate family death in the 1960s, he continued to grow Playtime Co., hiring people such as Jimmy Roth to help his company thrive, along with Leith Pierre to function as one of its top executives. The company and its toys had achieved a renowned status by the 1950s, until an incident occurred on August 8, 1995, when everyone inside disappeared in the rebellion, dubbed by the toys as The Hour of Joy. After years of creating new toys, of all the toys Playtime Co. created, Huggy Wuggy was the most popular and memorable toy. Out of the public eye, Playtime Co. experimented with its toys, beginning with trying to revive a dead rat with poppy flowers. Although the experiment failed, Elliot Ludwig or Harley Sawyer thought that something larger than a simple rat would yield better results. These results gave rise to the Larger Body Initiative. It is apparent in multiple reports that the orphans that Playtime Co. adopted would own these toys. Marie Payne, for example, owns Mommy Long Legs. It is theorized that Poppy is possessed by Elliot Ludwig's adopted daughter.

After the implementation of the Larger Bodies Initiative, Playtime Co. used the toys to their advantage by having them perform various jobs, such as Huggy Wuggy, who functioned as factory security, Mommy Long Legs, who helped manage the children at the Game Station, and Miss Delight, who taught the orphans alongside her sisters (all intentionally identical to prevent the orphans from becoming attached to them). This helped Playtime Co. increase the efficiency of their workforce without the need for human workers to demand pay, take breaks, and complain. Playtime Co. would come under scrutiny for their horrific, abusive, and oppressive treatment of their employees and workers (likely starting after the introduction of Big Bodies). An example is Brickley Marks reporting the appearance of a large monster in order to protect other employees, which is subsequently downplayed by Leith Pierre (who knew what the monster was) and results in him being scolded for reporting something absurd. In the 'Big Spider' tape, numerous complaints about Mommy Long Legs are ignored and downplayed by higher-ups, including the tape's announcer, in order to keep the existence of the monstrous experiments a secret. Playtime Co. was very obsessed with maintaining confidentiality, claiming that this would be used to protect the company, which was probably just an excuse to hide the illegal experiments and living toys. They also had no qualms about murdering their employees to hide these secrets, as seen with Rowan Stoll; he knew the corporation's secrets, was found out, and a worker sabotaged his car, resulting in his near death. After that, he was sent to the warehouse on "important business", unaware that Boxy Boo was throwing him there, about to eat him alive. It is speculated that this was the fate of more than one person who was a threat to the dark secrets.

Appearance: The physical appearance of the Prototype has yet to be seen, though CatNap's shrine seems to give a glimpse of its general appearance. The only known part of its body is its left arm, which resembles thin silver pins. Though its fingers appear fragile, they can effortlessly pierce flesh with unnerving smoothness. Its upper arm is adorned with red wires and metal components, while the forearm contains a human radius and ulna. Personality: The Prototype exhibits a personality built solely on his hatred of Playtime Co. He is cunning, stubborn, and rarely displays sarcasm. He also seems careless, using the experiments as pawns for his reign of terror.
