Physical appearance

He is an adult man with fair skin, blond hair with some gray, and blue eyes. He wears brown and gray glasses.

Personality as a civilian.

Gabriel is quite cold, stern, and very strict. He is very overprotective of his son Adrien and has had him in the house for much of his life, though he is somewhat distant towards him. Despite this, he can also be respectful and kind at times, especially when he needs to act professionally. According to Adrien in "Adrien's Double Life", ever since his wife's disappearance, he has not been his old self. [8] He misses his wife dearly, and sometimes has to be reminded not to forget that his son is grieving as well. While he seems to genuinely care about Adrien, this is often in a possessive manner, wanting to prevent anything bad from happening to him and makes executive decisions on how to keep his son safe without regard for how he may feel, such as in "Bubbling", where he considers Nino to be a bad influence on Adrien and forbids him from returning home, or in "Anansi", where he is not allowed to go to Alya's house or see the fireworks, where in both cases he had to watch him on his cell phone. He also doesn't like taking orders from anyone, even if they come from people who are trying to help and protect him, like Ladybug and Cat Noir.

Personality as Hawk Moth

He is cold, cunning, and determined. His greatest desire is to obtain Ladybug and Cat Noir's Miraculouses in order to gain absolute power and revive Émilie Agreste. His akumatized villains are his most powerful weapons; he chooses his victims carefully, giving them ideas if they can't think of them. He tricks them into thinking he cares about their problems and gives them powers, when in reality, he's only doing it for the sake of his quest for the Miraculouses. If things don't go his way, he loses his patience, threatening to hurt Ladybug, Cat Noir, and sometimes the villains he creates. If the akumatized villains don't want to fulfill his goal of taking Ladybug and Cat Noir's Miraculouses, he threatens to take away their powers, showing how impatient he can be. After his defeat, Hawk Moth swears revenge, and although he stops for a while, it's not long before he tries again with his akumas.

Skills as a civilian.

He is an expert in clothing design and fashion designs, from T-shirts to accessories and jewelry. Also, being the owner of the Gabriel brand, he is well versed in running a business, including solving solutions over the phone on a design issue and presenting himself professionally in front of others.

Abilities as Hawk Moth

Hawk Moth is capable of sensing negative emotions, such as empathy, and can pinpoint who is vulnerable and the reason for their feelings. He can charge butterflies with dark energy, which transforms them into Akuma. He then sends them to infect an object of a vulnerable person and when they agree to serve him, he turns them into supervillains, corrupting their personalities and giving them a variety of powers and abilities. To communicate telepathically with his creations, a symbol appears in front of his and the villain's face. He can also control the villain's body for a short time, preventing them from doing anything.

Secret identity

Although he is Gabriel Agreste and that is how everyone knows him, he is also Hawk Moth.
