Gabriel Agreste

Backstory

Gabriel Agreste is the bearer of the Butterfly Miraculous in his universe which, when inhabited by Nooroo, allows him to transform into Betterfly, a butterfly-themed superhero with the superpower of Transmission. In "Miraculous Paris", he crosses space-time to ask Ladybug and Cat Noir for help in their fight against Shadybug and Claw Noir, who are trying to steal the Butterfly Miraculous from him. Ladyfly kamikotizes him into Guardian Angel, a hero with the power to protect. After managing to redeem them, he returns to his universe with Ladybug and Paw Noir.

Physical appearance

He is an adult man with light skin, gray hair and blue eyes. He wears brown and gray glasses. Unlike his counterpart, he wears his hairstyle parted in the middle.

Plainclothes physical appearance

Usually a grey vest and a white shirt. He wears long white trousers with shoes of an unknown colour. He also wears a grey bow tie with white triangles, which hides a small oval brooch.

Hero Outfit (Betterfly)

Betterfly wears a light purple dress shirt over which he wears a dark indigo jacket with a lighter purple butterfly-shaped lapel ornament coming out of the center button of his jacket. He also wears dark indigo pants and slip-on dress shoes, purple gloves, a dark purple butterfly-shaped mask over his face, and a light purple knight's cape that resembles butterfly wings, and his hairstyle is a white middle part.

Personality as a civilian

Much like his counterpart, Gabriel used to be willing to go to any lengths to get what he wanted. In order to make his dream come true, he joined forces with the Supreme and stole the Butterfly and Peacock Miraculous. However, due to the misuse of his powers, he lost his wife. This event had a huge impact on him as he decided to use the Butterfly's power for good, creating superheroes to fight the Supreme and bring hope to his world. However, unlike his counterpart, Gabriel was able to move on from his wife's death and never considered finding a way to bring her back. Not only that, but he is able to learn from his mistakes.

Personality like Betterfly

Unlike Hawk Moth/Shadow Moth/Monarch, he embodies all of the ideals of hope and freedom that Monarch stands for. He only uses his powers to kamikotize someone who willingly wants to help him, rather than preying on those with strong emotions. Even with his allies, unless it's a life or death situation, he asks their permission before releasing his kamiko. He believes that powers should be shared with the world and used for the greater good; a lesson he learned the hard way. He always prioritizes the safety of civilians and his allies, even before his own mission to defeat the Supreme and his followers; for example, when Shadybug was going to enter Marinette's room through the Ubiquity portal, Betterfly carried Marinette to safety before that happened instead of kamikotizing her. After arriving in Ladybug and Cat Noir's world, Betterfly became very excited as it was, I agreed with him, "beautiful" and very different from his universe and it gave him hope that his universe could become something better.

Skills

As a civilian: He is an expert in clothing and fashion design, from t-shirts to accessories and jewelry. He is also the owner of the Gabriel brand. How to Betterfly: Betterfly's senses are heightened, granting him superhuman strength, agility, and endurance. His near-invulnerability and resistance to physical damage allow him to leap great heights and land safely. He possesses a special power known as Kamikotization, which he uses to create Kamikotized Heroes from collaborative feelings, kamikotizing different objects. As a result, he also has five secondary powers: Telepathy: Allows you to communicate telepathically with your heroes. Body Control: Grants him the ability to control the bodies of his victims. Empathy: Allows him to sense objects that are currently akumatized and kamikotized by other wielders, as well as people's emotions. Amnesiac: Grants him the ability to erase the memories of his heroes when they are deamikotized. Message Relay: Grants you the ability to manipulate a swarm of Kamiko to relay your messages.
