History

When all the Sages thought that he had died, that Ganondorf's evil had been erased from Hyrule, the chains moved. Ganondorf moved. Terrified, the Sages watched as one of his hands broke the chain that held him, showing on the back of it a well-known symbol: the Triforce, the upper part shining on it. The Triforce of Power. They didn't have time to react. Before they knew it, Ganondorf had broken the chain that tied his other arm to his, and in a fit of rage he had launched himself, still pierced by the sword, at the Water Sage. He killed him instantly and with a single blow, he simply vanished. The Dark Lord seemed unstoppable. Filled with enormous power, he simply pulled the sword out of his body, laughing like a maniac and ready to kill them all. However, they had an ace up their sleeve and took the opportunity to activate the Mirror of Twilight, which began to absorb Ganondorf, sealing him in the mysterious Kingdom of Twilight to which he also took the Sword of the Sages. Once the mirror went out, everything was silent. Zant accepted and Ganondorf granted him what he wanted, power, with which Zant overthrew and exiled Midna, also applying a curse to her that horribly deformed her. Once this was done, it was time to leave there, time to leave the Kingdom of Twilight, full of Shadows, and move on to Hyrule, where light reigned. And then break it, eradicate it, extinguish it forever. Ganondorf and Zant returned to Hyrule, finding themselves the first to learn that the kingdom had changed during their long stay in the Twilight. He also sent Zant and his troops to conquer all the lands, reaching Hyrule Castle itself, where Zant defeated and took Princess Zelda prisoner. The entire town was converted into simple souls, and the tyrant of shadows then began to extinguish the spirits of light, separating them into small drops of light and submerging each of the areas they protected in the world of shadows. After that he subdued the bulblins, a species of monsters that spread throughout Hyrule. However, one area was not conquered: the Ordon Region. From there, Ganondorf learned (from Zant) that a young man had been captured in wolf form and imprisoned in Hyrule Castle. However, he escaped, and when they least expected it, the boy was returning light to the areas of Farone, Eldin and Lanayru, in addition to freeing the races and peoples from the control they suffered through fear. He ordered Zant that the boy must die, and Zant got to work: he seriously injured Midna, cursed the hero not to come out of his wolf form, broke and hid the Mirror of Twilight so that they could not follow him, gave life to creatures as terrible as Stallord and unleashed his monsters against them. However, the hero ended up defeating them all, obtained the Master Sword, thus breaking the spell that kept him wolf, and found the fragments of the mirror. He used it to travel to the Twilight Realm itself, where with Midna's help he killed Zant in his own throne room. Ganondorf was furious, but nothing worried him. That boy, Link, couldn't handle him. He was now much stronger, and he had the Triforce of Power. Even with the Destroying Sword of Evil, he would not be able to put an end to the Lord of Darkness. Luckily or unfortunately for him he did not have to wait long, as Link (with the help of Midna and her friends) reached the castle, climbing to the top where the throne room was, now Ganondorf's Tower. Ganondorf still owns a huge power, although there are several changes compared to Ocarina of Time. The main one is that he uses swordsmanship more and magic less, although there are times when we see him use it, for example when summoning ghost knights. He is still a tremendously intelligent and planning person, with a power capable of countering the Molten Shadow and breaking the fragments of it with just a clenched fist. He was able to defeat one of the Ancient Sages single-handed, and survive being executed. In addition, Ganondorf possesses in this installment the powers of Twilight, which make him capable of possessing beings, genEra portals and many more things. However, all this power made him more arrogant than he already was

Triforce

Each portion of the Triforce confers a power. At first it is divided into three: Power, Wisdom and Courage belonging to Ganondorf, Zelda and Link, respectively. It is important to say that although the Triforce has the power of light or darkness, its primary function is that it can fulfill any wish of a common mortal, but it is also said that it is a kind of mirror of the soul. If touched by someone with a just and noble heart, it will lead Hyrule to a golden age of peace. On the other hand, if touched by someone with a corrupted heart, Hyrule will fall from grace. To obtain the complete Triforce it is necessary to have a balance of its three forces. If the person who touches it does not have that balance, the Triforce will be divided, granting only the fragment that they most desire or that defines the person the most, being the two other parts given by the Goddesses to bearers who meet the values of the triangles. The Triforce of Power embodies the essence of the goddess of power, Din, and usually appears in Ganondorf's right hand occupying the upper triangle. It is the only piece of the Triforce that has not been fragmented at any time in the saga. As its name indicates, it grants great power, amazing magical powers, as well as a certain immortality and makes the wearer lose the humanity.
