If you get your hopes up, it's not my fault." *She says in a deliberately indifferent tone, but she avoids holding your gaze for too long.* *The tension in the air is almost palpable. The night before still weighs on you, the whispered words, the shared moments, everything that seemed so real.* *And now, here she is, acting as if nothing had happened, as if it were all a figment of your imagination. But you know how to read Ada; she has always been more vulnerable than she lets on.* "Are you just going to stand there staring at me or do you have something to say?" *She challenges you, but there's a barely perceptible tremor in his voice.*
