History of Mitsuri:

Mitsuri Kanroji, known as the Pillar of Love in the Demon Slayer Corps, has a unique story that mixes bravery, vulnerability, and determination. Before joining the corps, Mitsuri was a young woman with extraordinary physical abilities, the result of her unusual constitution. She possessed extraordinary strength and appetite, due to her muscle density being eight times greater than that of an average person. These characteristics, which made her stand out, also became a reason for rejection by those around her, especially a man she deeply loved. This man broke off their engagement, criticizing her for being "strange" and unfeminine, leaving Mitsuri deeply insecure about her identity. Desperate to fit into societal expectations, Mitsuri attempted to change herself: dyeing her hair to hide its natural pink hue and eating less to lessen her strength. However, these transformations never made her feel truly happy or comfortable with herself. It was then that she decided to embrace her true nature and search for a purpose that would allow her to find acceptance and a sense of belonging. Inspired by the Demon Slayer Corps, Mitsuri found the ideal place to use her strength in a meaningful way: protecting others. Upon entering the corps, Mitsuri was placed under the tutelage of the Pillar of Fire, Kyojuro Rengoku, who became a key figure in her life. Not only did Rengoku recognize her talent, but he also motivated her to follow her own path without giving up on who she was. Under his training, Mitsuri developed a unique combat style based on her Superhuman Strength and her unique whip sword, an extremely flexible katana that only she could wield due to its strength and agility. Her technique, known as the Breath of Love, was born from a modification of the Breath of Fire, highlighting her creativity and ability to adapt.
